A nice start for Sanchez, still lots of walks though. 7Ks is great, but more whiffs would've been nice to see. It will be interesting to see the full report after the game but he really threw almost entirely fastballs. When the curve was mixed in it looked really good and no one ever hit it well. Change up disappearance is still mystery.

Uhhh...he's pitching like a Cy candidate right now. ERA around 1...

we dont use ERA in these parts

9K/9, 2.5 BB/9, >60% grounders

That's a No. 2 SP at least

Tulo needs to take a chill pill. He just seems like an uber-serious, uptight dude to me.

This should be his walk-up song:

He's always been like that. Tulo is pretty much the embodiment of captain serious. He's even mroe captain serious than Toews.

Aaron Sanchez 20IP 2016:

20IP, (9 K, 3.15 BB, 0.90 HR)/9 = 3.49 FIP, 1.35 ERA

Not bad, I'll take it. His contact management brings those numbers to a #2 since his FIP will, likely, always be far higher than his ERA.

If this kid can ever get average control of his stuff, not command, he could become elite.

Another solid start, sanchy pitching like a #3 right now. Very impressed with him so far this year

lol, yeah, a no 3 with an ERA under 1.5 and a WHIP under 1, throwing 7 innings plus against AL east opponents? His command hasn;t been spectacular but he's a no 2 now at worst, if not a no 1. He need a long way to go to prove he doesn't fall into his old ways with his walk but his numbers are the best on our staff right now

If Gibby, in the upcoming series, decides to drop both Smoak and Colabello in favor of EE playing 1st and someone else DHing I would be very surprised and pleased

Don't be fooled by era, FIP is a solid indicator of how he's pitching
