Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I was just going to post this, I near pissed myself when he mentioned Goins. The broken hand thing was posted earlier, we had zero depth last year, lol. Maybe Pillar's broken hand was a deciding factor in trading for Revere at the deadline. If Pillar had to hit the DL, we could have seen Revere in CF and Carrera in left.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 well vs. RHP he's better. But I think Gibbons was just being diplomatic to make it seem like it wasn't a contest between Pillar and Saunders but we all know Saunders is next in line and has been since ST. lol no he's not.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 If Goins leads off pitchforks will be out. He's an even worse choice than Pillar I'm willing to put money on that I think you're wrong, only in the lead off spot though.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Keep Ellsbury/Gardner off the bases pls
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Professional Worm Killer Marcus Stroman.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I love single digit pitch count innings.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 .332 OBP vs. RHP last year. Got even better in 2nd half. Still hitting RHP this year. 96 wRC+ vs 94 wRC+ last year.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Come on Blue Jays!!!!!!!!! Keep the momentum for the offense going from the last inning yesterday.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Let's crush this goober.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Nice that Stro basically threw nothing but fastballs that inning. One he goes through the lineup the first time he can bring in his secondary pitches.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Pillar bought himself another 2 months with that hit.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Splitter has a ton of movement.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Splitter has a ton of movement. Going to be a long night if the Jays don't lay off the low splitter.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I don't agree with the fact that Pillar's running game should be pulled back from the lead off spot. If he has an edge, like in an off speed count, he should take the bag, but with less than two out. There are three solid hitters ahead of him, so pitching around JD is moot.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Dwight 2.0 down on the strikeout.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Massive strike zone I still love Jim Joyce.
