Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Sanchez has a better K/9 then Chris Sale....no one could have guessed that in a million years!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 and he's only a 2 pitch pitcher. Imagine if he picks up a slider as quickly as Syndergaard did?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 For all of the people s***ing on Stroman he's number 16 on that list...
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Imagine if AA kept the right one all along What a shocker that would be A three headed monster of SSS though. Missed oppertunity but oh well.
93 Jays Verified Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I know he's yet to hit that proverbial "rookie wall" but is Sanchez our ace right now. Happ has pitched pretty damn well, as has Estrada, but it seems to me like Sanchez is the best of the bunch to this point. He's cut way down on his BB/9 and his FIP and XFIP have come way down and with a little bullpen help, could easily be 11 or 12-1 right now. See how it plays out over and entire season but he's been fairly consistent thus far Hopefully Stroman comes out of his slump soon and this team goes on a roll.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I swear 95% of your posts involve "less 2 seam" or "Carlos Carrasco" Posted a month ago but still relevant today.
93 Jays Verified Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 So many people who should be eating major crow regarding this guy. I remember people insisting he was trash and lookie here! 80 percent quality start rate? 10-1 with the third best ERA in the league? Way to go Aaron!

A good thing!
Cyborg Verified Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 He made a significant change in his control somehow. A very rare gain in control. We were correct in doubting him based on the knowledge at that time. But I am very happy to be wrong.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 He made a significant change in his control somehow. He siphoned it from Stroman over the offseason.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) That change to whiff Dickerson around 14 seconds in is just filthy. If he can add that consistently to his repertoire... http://m.mlb.com/video/v970757383/sdtor-sanchez-fans-seven-over-seven-shutout-innings/?game_pk=448353 In GIF form: http://i.imgur.com/tauPTYS.gif Edited July 26, 2016 by thatoneguy
