I'd honestly rather that Gibby was being an idiot and resting him than for him to be hurt, but even Gibbons can't be that dumn with Donaldson out too.

Don't you think he really has to get it together as a SP to really be of use? Hard to see them using him in the pen in any leverage with this BB/command issues, when they have Cecil. If you take him out of the rotation, it just makes Sanchez innings issues become the issue again. And of course we have RA and the fact that (notwithstanding a couple decent starts lately) his numbers overall have been awful.

 

Him being in the rotation is costing the team starts of Happ, Stroman and Estrada who are all much better that's my biggest issue. Liriano can be the long man in the bullpen. either that or take Dickey out of the rotation but the 6 man rotaiton is stupid.

Josh Donaldson (thumb) is not in the Blue Jays' lineup Friday.

Advice: Donaldson jammed his right thumb on Wednesday. He should return to the lineup sometime over the weekend. The Jays are also giving Troy Tulowitzki a breather Friday, as they have Darwin Barney at third base and Ryan Goins at shortstop.

This is false... Just came through twitter that he tweaked his calf last game.... Could of played but wanted to be sure. Gibbons anticipates both to be in the lineup tomorrow
