BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I don't really think his walk rate can be wholly attributed to good PD. He lets a ton of hittable pitches whizz by. I agree with that, at least from what I see happening. He seems to be missing, taking or fouling off a lot of pitches that look hittable. Then he chases crap more than I expect. Enigma at this point.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 against s***** competition. a walk is a walk, the s***** competition couldn't get a hit off him either.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 a mutual agreement that there was some disconnect on alignment That's a really wordy way of saying disagreement.

Shapiro to Brooks "you're fired in mutual agreement" Brooks to Shapiro "I'm not agree" Shapiro to Brooks "Yes, you are" Shapito "Next Jays employee, please" Shapito to NON-Guy "You're fired too" NON-Guy to Shapito "Why boss?" Shapito to NON-Guy "Because I'm the man in charge here and I want my own people" Shapiro to Atkins "Ron, close the door and touch my dick"

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Miller replacing Brooks is good for the Blue Jays long term as he seems like a really smart guy. The Spring Training project seems to be a thing he will be working on a lot. As a STH I'm a little scared though. The pricing likely gets changed in a bad way for consumers.

Ticket prices will most certainly rise now that Brooks is out.

nmrch Verified Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Shapiro on Brooks-Twitter Was just gonna post that, Shapiro doesn't seem to have cared for Brooks' interaction with the fans. He seems pretty anal when it comes to enforcing the corporate hierarchical structure.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 He probably just wants the Vice President of Business Ops. to be focusing on more important decisions and leaving those duties to someone lower down in the chain of command. I don't have a problem with what he said and actually agree with it. You can let someone else in the org. answer all of those questions on Twitter, its not like you need one of the top guys in the org. spending so much time on general fan questions.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Too many walks and high pitch counts for Hutch even in AAA And so streaky. Almost Romero-esque Ug It would be understandable to see a guy struggling because of an injury that caused a drop in velocity, but it boggles the mind to see these good young pitchers suddenly lose their command like that. I'm sure it's a bit of a cyclical issue, with lack of command leading to lost confidence causing more command issues. In the case of Romero I do think he was pitching above his head before he fell off, but I really thought Hutch was becoming a solid, mid-rotation arm.

Governator Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 http://imgur.com/gallery/F3vFF4w I saw that, in all honesty though a person going to their first ball game probably would have no idea. She's not searching how many innings but in general how long a game lasts. My wife still asks me that question when I put the game on.
