THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Aaron Sanchez SSS Spring Training 13.2IP 1.98 ERA 3ER 15K 3BB It's now: 20IP, 1.35 ERA, 3ER, 19K, 3BB
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 any word on pitch count? 69 according to GD
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 As a guy who picked up Gavin Floyd for fantasy I think you have to give Sanchez the 5th spot at this point. He's earned it and although ST stats are pretty tough to evaluate the fact that he cut down on the walks is a huge positive. If you put him in the bullpen it just sends a bad message to the rest of the team as they all clearly would rather Sanchez starts. In terms of value it makes much more sense to have him start and worst case if he struggles in the first month you can put him back in the pen and say at least you gave it a shot.
Governator Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 It's now: 20IP, 1.35 ERA, 3ER, 19K, 3BB Ah didn't realize it wasn't updated. Dayum.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Aaron Sanchez' 1.35 ERA is a real bad news. Cmon Shatkins, dont do this!!
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 19/3 K/BB what world am I in? Shatkins development system wasting no time. They probably told him, you'll only get a chance to start if you have 4 pitches that you use frequently, can throw for strikes, and can get strikeouts with.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Aaron Sanchez' 1.35 ERA is a real bad news. Cmon Shatkins, dont do this!! Just admit you're wrong bro. Sanchez will make a decent #5 starter as long as he keeps his walk rate down.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Just admit you're wrong bro. Sanchez will make a decent #5 starter as long as he keeps his walk rate down. How? - Adding 25 pounds? Im Sanchez' owner
Cyborg Verified Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 It would be pretty awesome if Sanchez could maintain a 3+ K/BB.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Floyd has looked good as a starter but even Sanchez has "outperformed" him. I feel like he's a much better fit for RC as well with all the groundballs and the elite infield defense behind him. Good chance he outperforms his FIP to a larger extent than Floyd would.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 maybe I'm just dumn but what does this mean? He s***ing on Sanchez?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 maybe I'm just dumn but what does this mean? He s***ing on Sanchez? He's saying Sanchez has looked really good so if he can't make the rotation you must have a pretty f***ing good rotation.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 How? - Adding 25 pounds? Im Sanchez' owner Maybe he found something in his delivery in the off season while working out with Stroman.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 maybe I'm just dumn but what does this mean? He s***ing on Sanchez? He's suggesting that our rotation would have to be much better than the perception of it, if Sanchez doesn't make it. I think he's being sarcastic as well.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 He's saying Sanchez has looked really good so if he can't make the rotation you must have a pretty f***ing good rotation. thanks. Now I know how it feels to be angrioter
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 So basically all our pitchers should just do their work at Duke instead of in the system.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Maybe he found something in his delivery in the off season while working out with Stroman. Something that he wasn't found in his previous six years. Great!!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Hrmm tempted to put some money on this with the Jays winning.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I'm kinda scared we haven't heard anything on Tulo yet. If X rays came back negative and it was nothing you'd think you'd hear it by now.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Is the Sanchez thread gonna blow up after this start meow?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I'm kinda scared we haven't heard anything on Tulo yet. If X rays came back negative and it was nothing you'd think you'd hear it by now. Every minute that goes by just makes me more certain it's broken.
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Hazel Mae @thehazelmae 1m1 minute ago Gibbons said Tulo got hit on knuckles of right hand. Swollen in dugout and was "cut up a bit" Gibbons said. Gone for X-rays. No results yet. Broken finger
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Every minute that goes by just makes me more certain it's broken. Yeah someone tweeted out they're waiting for Tulo to address the media which can't be good. Brings back the memories of Stroman last year. We talk about Sanchez vs Floyd but if Tulo is out for any significant amount of time that is a massive blow. Going from Tulo to Barney is one worst downgrades possible.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Yeah, f*** the 5th starter debate. The Jays need Tulo.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
