He did an interview in English about his desire to remain a Blue Jay. I actually thought that was pretty significant considering he's reluctant to do interviews.

 

Hes a notorious slow starter. So lack of at-bats does concern me.

Just my own medical opinion, but he'd probably be playing if it were a meaningful game. Really all he does is swing a bat for a living, and he's really good at it, so he probably didn't forget how in the last few months.

They're either lying, or they're going to rush him with only a few games of ST practice before the season starts.

I'm really hoping he can perform. I think he's a solid piece when he's on. Sounds like he's probably in third or fourth for the SP5 race at this point, though...

Yea, I think it's really going come down to Floyd or Sanchez. Considering Floyd has a major league contract, I'd be tempted so start Sanchez in AAA. Storen/Osuna/Cecil should be able to lock down the BP anyway.

So what are the SP5 sentiments so far? I haven't seen all the games but the vibe I get around the internet is Floyd/Sanchez > Chavez > Hutch.

 

How was Storen today? Last time I saw him he was iffy but brute forced himself through a scoreless inning.

I think we have to try Floyd as 5th given his contract. Lets see if he is healthy again.

 

We know what we already have pretty much with Chavez and Sanchez (despite hundreds of pages of debate on here).

 

Not sure on sending Sanchez to AAA though. In a "win" year I'd hate to lose that arm in the pen against RHP middle innings although Storen gives us more flexibility.
