Grange is definitely a tool, but Davidi is not even close to terrible.

We had that thread poll on most annoying sports reporters and Davis ran away with it. Not one of I think about 100 posters picked Davidi. That was telling. I think he is pretty solid.

Besides one recent piece (i was a bit surprised) , he never says writes negative at all.

 

Maybe that's because he's so controlled, i am not sure.

 

I am not a fan of anyone who doesn't call out a player or management regardless if you agree or not.

Davidi doesn't really do commentary. He's about as straight a reporter as there is on the Jays beat. Nothing wrong with that.

Would be nice if he gave more of his opinion and just not report the obvious leave that for the less talented writers.

He's got a different job now. His responsibility is to get listeners. Therefore being "entertaining" trumps detailed, through analysis... Staying on top of sources and insiders... All that good stuff.
