So here is my completed draft:

Zac Veen CF

Austin Martin (acquired in a trade) 3B (hoping he will be CF)

Bryce Jarvis SP

Jared Jones SP

Lewin Diaz 1B

Cole Wilcox SP

Jose Garcia SS (Acquired in trade)

Nick Garcia SP

Hudson Haskin OF

Shay Whitcomb SS

I tried to stay away from high school kids. However, I am not going to skip Zac Veen and I really like Jared Jones, so I did dip high school for those two. When it came to Jared Jones, there was another high school pitcher, Jared Kelly I really liked, but I was not going to take two prep arms. I ultimately decided I like Jared Jones better.

To get Martin, I traded Boegarts... Mr. steady and reliable at SS. One of the pieces with Martin I received in return is Kieboom, not yet Mr. steady and reliable. He also might end up at 3b and not even keep SS eligibility.

Therefore, I made the trade for Jose Garcia who is near ready as a hedge/back up. I like Noilve Marte but he is too young and too far away for my timeline.

I also made another trade for Isaac Parades SS as another hedge.

Additionally, I drafted Shay Whitcomb a college SS to be another hedge (Plan D LOL). If you recognize the name, it is because he was the VERY LAST player taken in this years draft by Houston. Regardless, I was debating between him and Nick Loftin.. I like both. I thought Loftin would have higher trade value and be moved easier if my current SS work out and I have a glut. On the other hand, I thought Whitcomb has higher offensive upside then Loftin. Loftin ended up getting picked 2 picks before my turn so Whitcomb it was.

If I were to pick the two out of my draft that will pleasantly surprise me 5 yrs down the road and looking back. I think it will be Nick Garcia and Whitcomb..

Looking to do a deal. 2 for 1. (I give up 2 guys for 1)

I also have extra draft picks that I can move if necessary.

Anyways from this list of players I would like to turn them into a 2B or SP or top players at position not listed.

And obviously depending on the players involved would change the caliber of player I want (so for that reason I’m offering various players at various skill levels)

1B Eric Hosmer

3B Rafael Devers (Would need a 3B back)

SS Javier Báez

SS Jean Segura

SS JP Crawford

CF/OF Randal Grichuk

CF/OF Teoscar Hernandez (Dont want to move him but will listen if the offer is sweet enough)

OF Clint Frazier

SP Carlos Carrasco

SP Justus Sheffield

SP Nathan Eovaldi

SP Matt Shoemaker

SP Marcus Stroman

SP Mike Soroka (Dont want to move him but will listen if the offer is sweet enough)

A poll has been posted, on the availability of draft picks for trade. There are 3 options. The deadline to select an option is August 25. Highest poll result after that date will be adopted.

I took Wilderd Patino and William Contreras with my last two picks

Contreras already debuted. I mean this works in L54's favour as he can now draft another player and count WilCont as an FA pick up but I am a stickler for rules.

So in the Fantrax settings for BORED, how many games does a player need at a position for it to show up as eligible? Is there like a shortened season pro-rated number this year?

Thanks

No they didn't do it, which was dumb.

Still 10 for position players and 5 for pitchers.

Ok, to qualify for OF, that needs to be 10 in either LF or RF, or like 6 in CF and 6 in LF would do it?

Thanks

OF is 10 appearances anywhere in the OF, so 5 in LF and 5 in RF would do it. CF is 10 in CF specifically.

10 games LF, CF, RF for OF eligible, 10 games in CF for CF eligible

Was there any change made to the schedule? I remember only having one good team on my schedule (next week) and the rest were pretty easy but I see Spanky's over-performing but not entirely s***** team as my matchup Wk6

The schedule hasn’t been changed since I said it was finished two months or so ago

Jim?

Not smack talking but I’m assuming you had the benefit of some weak opponent weeks?

You have one regular guy with an OPS over .850 and more than half your regulars are around .700 or below.

Pitching numbers solid but I’d imagine there’s better on other teams

His team might be playing to the score. You know, not overexerting themselves.
