You were upset about a post that had nothing to do with you. You were offended I might have offended someone else. We talked it out (5 pages worth).

 

Then we established that the guy who you thought was offended is cool.

 

Now it comes out that it is not really about that anymore. It is about you proclaiming yourself some totalitarian arbitrator of what posts are insufferable and that you have self declared your the purple Knight riding in here on a gigantic inflatable dildo that should crush out all insufferable posts (as judged by you).

 

So a few things about adulthood in a free country and internet chat boards. If you don't like a post, and it is not violating any rules, ignore it. That's what adults do.

 

What you are doing and have been doing is petty, it comes across petty, it is petty. All this today because I threw out a line to see if there would be any nibbles.

 

It really comes across that you think you are some super duper poster and that you and like thinkers determine what is cool or not. That I am a lower type of poster and privileged to be here and I am lucky to be among such baseball internet Gods.

 

Whether that is your intention or not, or perhaps you honestly don't realize it, I don't know. However that is 100% how it comes across in all your comments/attitude.

 

This board was worried about driving people off and lack of active participants. It is not the politics thread and COVID threads that discourage new posters or drive people away it is attitudes that you purvey. Posters can stay out of politics threads and Covid threads. Very hard to stay out of baseball threads or fantasy threads on a baseball forum and if you want to participate in either or.

 

Imagine some poor guy thinking of participating or joining the board reading this. Most do not have the thick skin I do. You and a few others already have some posters scared shitless about posting a baseball opinion or making a trade because they are worried they will get roasted by the know it all, baseball "God's" on here.

 

The sad thing is those who have made some of these snide comments etc, have been proven wrong, time and time again. Their actions and snide comments certainly don't encourage a relaxed friendly atmosphere and have some posters on eggshells or paralyzed with fear.

 

Maybe me being the Evil Empire is the motivation you need to compete in this Fantasy league or something. If that is the case, fine, we can do that and entertain the board.

Trying to use 6th round picks to move up into the top 60 and using a paragraph to explain their value is funny and cringey to me. There shouldn't be wrong with pointing that out. Trying to make that out like I'm being some fantasy baseball warrior is just a ridiculous over reaction- we all know 6th round picks are barely worth s***. That was all I was saying, and again I was speaking about a group and not just myself, plenty of people here who have been punting late round picks long before I was here.

- Carlos Danger is a great owner and his presence in BORED has enhanced the league

- Carlos Danger was inevitably going to be lit up by someone for his attempts to peddle his late round wares.

 

The unwritten rules of advertising assets for sale in BJMB dynasty leagues:

1) If the player is objectively a complete s*** bag, don't try to sell them under any circumstances (think: Ryan Goins, Edinson Volquez, late round draft picks)

2) If the player has been picked up via free agency in the last week, there are almost no circumsances under which you can try to sell them.

3) If the player is borderline rosterable, you can make a single casual, almost disinterested post about how they're available if someone wants them (think: Anibal Sanchez, Stephen Piscotty)

4) If the player is actually good, you can mention their availability multiple times, but never insult people's intelligence by posting statistics demonstrating how good they are.

 

A breach of any of these protocols will result in the offender being roundly mocked by at least one league member.
