He still has Max Muncy in his lineup tonight, so could still flip some hitting categories. I might have to start Wainwright in hoping I could get the SW and possibly catch up in K's. But could lose K/BB and OBPA if Wainwright blows up.

Leading 9-4 heading into the Sunday Night game but its still extremely close.

 

Probably can't risk starting Wainwright. I'm already holding ERA, K/BB and OBPA. And he doesn't have any pitchers for the Sunday Night game. All my pitchers are done as well for the day.

 

As for hitting, I'll have Grandal and Puig, while he has Muncy. We're tied in Runs at 36 and I'm leading in RBI by 3 and leading in .SLG .609 to .568 at the moment. Still have Profar in the 3-3 Padres/Rangers game.

 

 

Can't afford a tie here, so if he flips all three of those offensive categories, we're tied at 7-7. Good chance he can take the lead in Runs and possibly tie or take the lead in RBI with Muncy. SLG could end up being close if Grandal and Puig go a combined 0 for 10 and if Muncy goes 3-4 or 4-4 with an assortment of HR's, Doubles etc. Wainwright can possibly tie SW's for me, and help me take the K lead, but if I lose ERA, K/BB and OBPA which are extremely close, then we tie. That doesn't even include him taking some offensive categories.

 

So my best bet is to bench Wainwright and let the series rest on the bats of Grandal, Puig and Muncy.

Thanks! It was back and forth all week long and the was extremely close heading right into the final game. Both of our teams were offensive juggernauts last week.

Can someone remind me what we usually do with the rosters after the season? I think trades are allowed immediately and we usually give teams a couple days to make adds/drops before moving everything to the spreadsheet?

I would say give long enough to make waiver claims, then move everything to the spreadsheet and open up trading.

Just snuck into the playoffs the last week of the season, which was a close race for that final spot. Knocked out the first place team and won a very close matchup last weekend against the 2nd place team. Knocking out the top three seeds to win a championship was an impressive feat.

 

Goes to show you that even in fantasy baseball, if you make the playoffs anything can happen. Granted, I probably wasn't your typical 8th place team on paper, so would have been a tougher matchup than most but what a run this final month for my team. Plus calling up Acuna and the impact he made was huge.

 

Great season and an honour to win a message board league. Hoping the DDL or LOD are in the near future lol.

The standings being what they were, you really didn’t look like an 8th seed. Especially with Acuna going full Trout over the last month or two. Well-deserved title.
