Littlemoon Verified Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Word of advise, use lube. Like lots.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I'm a good catch. Maybe by heterosexual standards.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Word of advise, use lube. Like lots. always, especially when you are up against the drunks
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Maybe by heterosexual standards. You don’t think gay men would find me desirable? That cuts me deep.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I'm a good catch. I agree, there's this old common misconception that bottom feeders don't make good eating but it's not true at all. You are at least a flounder, maybe even halibut quality.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 You don’t think gay men would find me desirable? That cuts me deep. I am extremely superficial and don't know what you look like but I'm going to say there's like a 95% chance I wouldn't hit it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Zach Wheeler has been a godsend. I can't remember who it was (maybe TCA?) but someone had a roster crunch last offseason and I got Wheeler, Heaney, Jharel Cotton, and Hunter Refroe for like a mid-round pick or something. Cotton died and Renfroe has been s*** as expected, but Wheeler and Heaney have both broken out as SP2/3s, then I flipped Heaney for Miguel Andujar. See, Boxy, not all my trades are awful.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Lol TCA couldn't keep those guys but he sure as s*** could keep Cobb so that Spanky could complain about the pitching all year.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 I said ? Must've been Abom maybe, when he needed TJS(Heaney) along with Folty we moved them to him. For dollars to cents, he still made out well, that was 3 years ago in 16'.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Giancarlo Stanton is turning in another fantastic season, humming along with a .381 wOBA, 38 dingers, 102 ribeyes, 73 runs so far. Oh no wait, that's Khris Davis. Sorry, I get them confused a lot.

I think my best trades in that league are so much better than my worst (I think I gave away Devers for a pick or Waiver and my second worst I made up for by flipping Hosmer for Suarez, Simmons and Nate Pearson) hard to believe my team is still bad

Since the beginning of the 2016 season he ranks: 1st in MLB in HR 3rd in MLB in RBI 11th in MLB in SLG 26th in MLB in R He's got more HR over the last 3 years than JD Martinez, Stanton, Nelson Cruz, Trout, Harper, Machado... anyone!

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/1589762 Melvin's pissed!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/1589762 Uh...Khris Davis is a butcher and a half. Even if he was an average defender, the upper tier of the AL is so high that he still wouldn't be close. He's not even the best player on his own team, man MLB managers are stupid.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Khris Davis is like the right handed version of Adam Dunn except he doesn't walk nearly as much.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Boston being so safe in a playoff spot is hurting me. Sale won't be back on Sunday now. No Sale, no Bauer, no Samardzija, No Vizcaino, no Darvish (all year). Sucks to be stuck with just Gray & Verlander.

Even if he was an average defender, the upper tier of the AL is so high that he still wouldn't be close. He's not even the best player on his own team, man MLB managers are stupid. That's a managers way of saying he's underrated (which he is...in Fantasy and real life). He is the best hitter on the A's and top 10 in the AL. Melvin has a mathematics degree from Berkeley and has been praised for his ability to explain the front office and educate the players and coaches on advanced metrics I understand that statements like the one he made has old school implications (in 2004 statements about Davis would be something like "he needs to get his average up to be considered for MVP") but you can't assume that every old person is ignorant to advanced stats.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 If I beat Silvio to secure a playoff spot this week, it could very well be on Baez' back. Loving this dogfight of a playoff race.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 (edited) This playoff race is coming right down to the final day. Sunday is kind of a big deal. Edit: Nevermind, I'm dumn. There's still another week. LoD had me all confused. Edited August 26, 2018 by P2F
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 The kids need to flip just about every stat they have a chance at to stay within striking range of Speedy. Dinger and Sil going full split with saves looking like the only stat Sil can gain. J4L a little too late but helping everyone else (or BTS hurting himself). P2F doing what he needs, should flip K's, if he can get SB's and slugging he could jump into that shot at 5th spot.
