connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Hi! Any interest in doing some sort of deal with centerpiece being Springer and Nick C for Kris Bryant? Also as an open req, willing to move Bryant for package of young mlb players or near ready prospects. Positions of need: CF, C, SP, and 3b coming back

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Indians manager Terry Francona announced Saturday that Matt Belisle had secured a spot in the team's Opening Day bullpen. Advice: The veteran right-hander has had a terrible spring, posting a 6.10 ERA, 2.03 WHIP and 8/1 K/BB ratio over 10 1/3 innings of work, but apparently the Indians see something that they like. He'll function in middle relief for the Tribe and isn't relevant for fantasy purposes. Time for more lolrotoworld

I imagine health and K/BB are by far the most important indicators for us peasants, with teams possibly having exit velocity data to help them make decisions along with these two things.

I'd say health, velocity, maybe walks for pitchers and K's for batters is about it.

BTS Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I'm really warming on the Phillies. Santana, Hoskins, Hernandez, and Herrera are all fine starters, with Hoskins possibly being elite. Throw in MLB ready young talent like Crawford, Altherr, Williams, Kingery, Quinn, (Franco?) and it's easy to see them competing if a few of these high-upside guys push. I liked the Arrieta signing, because it adds depth to the rotation in a year where it could very easily matter.

Their Santana and Arrieta signings were excellent along with the addition of Tommy Hunter in the bullpen. I really like what they're doing, they could be a fun team. Also you missed mentioning Aaron Nola who is an excellent starter.

They will play Miami and Atlanta 18-19 times each, so great opportunity to beat up those teams. Whereas teams in the NL West and Central will have a tougher schedule. I really like the Phillies chances.
