I just hope they improve diamond dynasty. As far as that type of mode goes, The Show's is some weak ass s***.

 

2k constantly puts out new cards, new players, historic, 6th man, throwback, etc. The Show gives one old time player per franchise and then just current players. There's not much variation. It's BS.

2K's gameplay is complete garbage though which ruins the game. Thats been my issue with EA sports as the gameplay sucks so no matter how many good features it has the game is annoying to play.

2k's gameplay was actually excellent with the pitching mechanic being superior to even what the show uses today. However, everything else with 2k baseball was garbage.

 

Like with every sports game now the higher difficulties against the CPU are impossible for me which hurts it's replay value.

Sorry, I was referring to the only 2k sports game people actually buy: NBA 2k16

BTW one of the bright spots of MLB: The Show is the player models and that one of Josh Donaldson looks very disappointing for the 2016 release.

Another thing I find is that in Franchise mode players are ridiculously underpaid which to me ruins the realism of franchise mode. When I can lock up a young star player for 5 Million/year for 8 years it becomes too easy.

Same goes for road to the show. The salaries are even more undervalued in that mode.

Too bad the rest of 2k cannot hold a candle to MLB the show.

Still waiting for the return of MVP baseball. Sucks that there aren't any baseball games for PC.

 

Why? The show long surpassed MVP, the show is the most realistic depiction of baseball or any sport for a video game. MVP was overrated and PC mods only made it great. That game on max difficulty you could hit 100+ hr's with a player a season.

Advanced stats is my biggest issue with the game, and more franchise integration into the rest of the league goings on. Gameplay is fantastic though.

Seems like enough time has passed that all the changes in the last decade will be new to me. I know sometimes these annual releases tend to only improve incrementally, which peeves the die-hard fans. I won't have that problem though.

WOw dude, serious? MLB the show is amazing, best replication of a sport ever in video game form....it was great in 2008...and you would have seen a big difference let alone 2015. The game is always challenging and it plays like real baseball. no 130 win player controlled teams lol.

It was really stupid for them to do that. I'm now thinking of picking the MVP edition but f*** the price though.

And an old Canada day jersey too. A jersey that Donaldson has never actually worn. Not to mention he is wearing the grey road pants which doesn't make sense.

 

Just a terrible photoshop job. Seriously, how do these people get paid to make such big mistakes?

That photo looks more like Josh Thole than Josh Donaldson.

 

But glad to see him get more recognition.

 

How could he not get anymore recognition than winning the MVP?
