Governator Community Moderator Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 They are since they are a part of OBP, but Trout's OBP remains higher without the IBB. Let alone he plays in a pitchers paradise. Trout was clearly the better offensive player. wRC+ uses wOBA for the formula which subtracts IBB from the on base total... wOBA = (0.690×uBB + 0.722×HBP + 0.888×1B + 1.271×2B + 1.616×3B + 2.101×HR) / (AB + BB – IBB + SF + HBP)

firsttimecaller Verified Member Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 f*** the racist scum Hank Aaron. Ban the award. I agree. Aaron's a race hustler.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Sure Trout should have won it but glad JD won it in the end lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 TBH, we might as well just make one thread called "Josh Donaldson wins every award that he is eligible for"
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Won't win Gold Glove. Machado?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Machado? You never know with the GGs but I'd say Beltre or Machado. I think some coaching bias will creep in, but I did not realize how good JD actually was on defense this year, wow.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Donaldson was worth 70M (Based on Fangraphs numbers) this season and we paid him 4.3M. LMAO. (But NOW he gonna get PAID)

True. It's all relative. He will probably equal or beat the arbitration records set by David Price the last couple years. Unless, of course, Shapiro locks him up long term. Is that very much against his usual MO though??
