Surprised that there isn't a lot of reaction on here about the Eric Wedge hiring.

Jenkins was out of options and was a long shot to grab one of the last bullpen spots so might as well DFA him now instead of later. TB has had rumoured interest for awhile. We'll see if they grab him. My guess is he doesn't get claimed and he spends another year providing depth from Buffalo.

Yeah, Donaldson won't be giving any hometown discount. If the Jays sign him, it will be a huge contract.

 

Either way, it's hard to see a downside. If they lock him up, great. If not, they have him for three more seasons regardless.
