Still has that arm... That's why he's not necessarily better off at 1B. Would take away the one thing he does well defensively. I think it's pretty much OF or DH.

 

Could play at RF, 1B, and a little DH next year. Play him everyday just not everyday in RF

Except that Thames lacked an above average skill to compensate for the value he gave away in other areas. Bautista may be hard to watch but his positive contributions are very significant.

No Eric Thames is just the worst outfield defender that I could think of in recent past. Bautista has looked like a slow pitch softball defender out there all year. I think people vastly overestimate the impact his arm actually has when he's booting balls and not being able to run down very catch able balls out there

Bullpen should have been warming up thus inning, Stroman not the same as a two pitch pitcher. Gotta fight through it and get outs!
