Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 Well my reign is over. Was fun while it lasted. I'm still feeling good about tomorrow. But we really need to win tomorrow.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 They flat out kicked our ass tonight. We hit some balls pretty well right at them into bad luck. But they outpitched and out hit us. Lets get em tomorrow with Pricey on the bump!!
The real boys in blue Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 In all seriousness Toronto is a hell of a team and one I didn't want to face. Our pitchers are gonna have to be lights out to hold You guys off. Good luck on game 2.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Lol, we're also not the fanbase who has to scalp tickets at less than face value because nobody cares. Christ, can't help yourself can you? TBH I'm more annoyed that we get Fox and the Cubs/Mets get TBS than losing this game.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Let's get em tomorrow boys!!!
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Such a typical Royals win. Shitbag starter junks his way through six, the team plays tight defense and scratches a few runs across, and the bullpen shuts it down.

If we can score 6 runs or even 4 we will have a chance in every game.

Nafro Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 We're not the fan base that throws s*** on the field when they don't get their way. Stay classy Toronto Okay I take that back, I won't use low blows.

We hit a few balls fairly well into guys but he was pretty solid.

EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Reminds me of game 1 vs Tom Glavine in 1992 or game 5 vs Curt Schilling in 1993... Just simply couldn't do much. Ironically our last postseason game we also got shut out... vs Danny Jackson in 1985 (but we sure did get him back good in 1993!) Their pitchers were nasty and there isn't much we can do about that. The good thing is that we kept to our patient approach at the plate at least, drawing quite a few walks. Keep that up and their pitchers are bound to crack and make a mistake eventually. It is a 7 game series and 1 loss doesn't hurt as much as it does in a 5 game series. Tm's game however needs to be had, Price will need to come up big here. (Especially with EE likely missing until we get back to Toronto).

Mozzer Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 In a lot of ways today reminded me of game vs Texas. Our starter was adequate, while their Starter had our number. We Never got it going offensively - always felt like we were playing behind. Someone key gets injured, Smoak chokes in a key AB. I've had a few pops but not enough to throw beer cans at people.

Great. Don't be too much of a dick. Why do you have to try and get everyone's backs up? Then when that fails try and be a normal person? Just create a new log in at that point because you're always going to be that KC troll who doesn't know the difference between their/they're/there for ever.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 All in good fun. No disrespect intended I was talking to Grant, his troll resistance needs some upgrading. I respect a decent troll, just too bad the f***ing idiot bandwagon hockey fans in this city gave you some free ammo.
Brans Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 This should be our lineup Revere Donaldson Bautista Encarnacion Martin Smoak Tulowitzki Pillar Goins Nice Balance in the lineup. Cola is a bench player who is excellent against lefties don't make him out to be someone has is not.

It's all fun. Royals fans might have a bone to pick with the Jays and they have tonight to exercise it.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It's all good man. How frustrating is it that Yost is hitting Gordon 8th and Escobar lead off? That must grind your gears.
Nafro Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It's all good man. Nah I'll lose with class, win with class. My father was born in the US, but Canadian. I have lots of family that are American. I'm not going to play the Americans are arseholes card. Ignorance has no nationality, its more a human trait.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 4.70 xFIP, .133 BABIP, 100 LOB% ... I know the BABIP. He has been doing that all year with leaving runners on base. We got 2 singles.
