reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Why isn't there prop betting for this series on SI? I want to see what the O/U of bench clearing incidents is.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I think he threw out Odor going to 3rd, can't remember anyone else. It is pretty annoying. But this isn't NL ball It's so annoying because it's so effective. Royals did it all playoffs last year...lead off single is like a guaranteed run.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Is this a good crew? There's no Joe West or Bob Davidson type, but you never know what you're going to get with umpires. I miss Tim McLelland.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 iirc the only ump I recall complaining about from that list is Jeff Nelson. Pretty good crew.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Can the Royals afford to give up baserunners just to send a message? Probably not, but doubt that stops ol' Neddy.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Can the Royals afford to give up baserunners just to send a message? Probably not, but doubt that stops ol' Neddy. If the Royals hit us first it will always benefit them. A warning could be issued immediately, which would put us at a disadvantage right off the bat.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Can the Royals afford to give up baserunners just to send a message? Probably not, but doubt that stops ol' Neddy. Well when Volquez gives up 10 runs it won't matter.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Well atleast the Royals already showed their colours in the regular season, Jays lockerroom meeting should cover it. Also, hope the umps expect it and get it right this time.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Laz Diaz is the guy who a few years ago wouldn't let Russell Martin throw new balls back to the pitcher. Said it was a privilege that had to be "earned" with better behaviour lol What did Martin do? Question his strike zone?

Said it was a privilege that had to be "earned" with better behaviour lol Sounds like an old school guy who may tighten up a strikezone against any trying to "show him up" or perhaps even a bat flip?
ICECOLDBEER Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Toronto Mayor just did a Bautista-Esque bat flip in response to Kansas City mayor. Pretty funny. Link if you care. http://m.thestar.com/#/article/sports/bluejays/2015/10/16/john-tory-accepts-kansas-city-mayors-bet.html

Yours truly, captain obvious!

Said it was a privilege that had to be "earned" with better behaviour lol I was thinking about him yesterday... what would have happened if some narcissist umpire had been the one to make that infamous throw off Choo?
DonnysManbun Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Whoever is in Tory's pr team does a great job because that guy is base level when it comes to sports lol. He once said "go Jays Go raptors go Argos I think thats it is there anyone else?" at the end of an interview with I believe Tim and Sid. Props for trying though

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Should have been Norm Kelly. The guy has a rabid following.
DonnysManbun Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Was Nelson not the guy who had a horrible game at rc this year? Threw out Sanchez for hitting alcides in the knee?
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Was Nelson not the guy who had a horrible game at rc this year? Threw out Sanchez for hitting alcides in the knee? That was Jim Wolf I believe
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Any word on who is doing the broadcast commentary for the series... If i have to listen to Harold Reynolds again i am going to loose it.

Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci call the action for the ALCS action from the booth with reports from Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Joe Buck' date=' Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci call the action for the ALCS action from the booth with reports from Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.[/quote'] I'd honestly take commentary from Schilling more so than Reynolds.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I'd honestly take commentary from Schilling more so than Reynolds. Do you think the Jays will be able to adapt to real grass? The speed difference could be a factor here. You have to be a real athlete to be able to play on turf.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Joe Buck' date=' Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci call the action for the ALCS action from the booth with reports from Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.[/quote'] That's honestly the worst and the most bias crew we could hope for. I wanted Matt Vasgersian.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Reynolds is such an ignorant moron. I really can't comprehend why they keep him around. Gotta have a token black guy, apparently!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 f*** I was hoping they would replace Reynolds with Smoltz.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Joe Buck' date=' Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci call the action for the ALCS action from the booth with reports from Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.[/quote'] I really wanted Vasgersian.. Buck should stick to doing football and whatever else he does, Reynolds should go away.. Harold led all 2B in errors from 1987-1990, yet won 3 gold gloves.. voters must've been stupid or biased back then. And he's leading the broadcasts in idiocy.. no idea on Verducci.
