Any guesses at the differences in the Jays roster for this series? Are we adding in another lefty or sticking with Tepera?

They could go with another infielder instead of Carrera

Kawasaki is always in the dugout. Is he actually on the playoff roster or just there as a goofy mascot type thing to cheer the boys up?

He was on the ALDS roster.

Are Dickey's numbers against KC better than Estrada's?

Meh rotation announced. There isn't much to go on numbers wise, but Hosmer hits Estrada well while Dickey's numbers aren't too bad vs their lineup.

I guess Estrada has the edge in past balls/wild pitches as well which could be huge given their running game.

It seems like guys like Kawasaki, Buehrle and Saunders decided to stick around in the clubhouse for the postseason, while other guys like Travis have been away (but he may be rehabbing or something). You can still be in the bench and the clubhouse even if you don't make the roster; if you look at the 1992 WS stuff you'll see Dave Stieb in the dugout although he was out for the season by August that year.

Not sure where Travis is either. You are right in he's likely rehabbing considering he did have surgery not too long ago. Excited to see him for next season fo sho! I know Hutch and the other pitchers are in FLA being stretched out just in case the Jays need them.

I think the team decides which non-roster players will travel with the team/be in the dug-out, etc. I guess guys like Kawa and Thole made the list ... as long as they don't step onto the playing field which is what got Papa B ejected ... so I heard

I thought I saw Travis there last night. I don't think Travis needs to do too much rehab from the surgery but he might also be doing stuff down in Florida while the team travels. I think all that was found in the surgery was cysts.

I was listening to MLB radio today and they interviewed Travis. He said he was rehabbing and if the Jays make the WS he would be there.

The deal with Buehrle was he went into the field for the third time in last nights game and that's why he got ejected. That came from "Busy Fingers" Reynolds though

Going back to his last start against TB, Estrada has been legitimately great (13 IP, 13Ks, 0 BBs, 8 hits, 3 ER). He's had some starts this year where he seemed extremely fortunate not to give up more runs but that hasn't been the case lately. I'll admit that I'm playing the arbitrary end points game but this has been his best stretch of the season. Feel pretty good about him. I thought the other shoe would drop but instead he's picked it up.

He's also a nice fit in KC's stadium.

his command has been excellent, throwing to both sides of the plate, and just enough movement on his pitches to confound the hitters

cliffs:

Pillar far, far worse than Cain

Martin barely better than Perez

Osuna far, far worse than Davis

Blue Jays SP just barely better than the pile of s*** KC runs out

Obviously awful post but they get the idea (i.e. the right way the ticker should go). Clearly, EE is much better than Kendrys f***ing Morales and Martin/Tulo are much better than their counterparts but whatever.

Edit: just noticed the SP lol ok. David Price/Stroman/Estrada is a lot better than Cueto/skinny bitch/junk

To be fair Ventura has the ability to pitch a great ball game. I'm not too worried about Volquez though, hopefully they get to him and Estrada continues his high 89/elite changeup combo to cruise.
