TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 KC rotation lined up to go: Volquez Ventura Cueto Medlen? Volquez Ventura Cueto Obviously they can push Cueto up to game 6 if they want on 3 days rest, and same for Ventura for game 5. I wonder if Toronto will go Price in game 1 on 3+ days rest? 50 pitches on Monday so it would basically be 3 and 1/2 days rest. Would you prefer that, or Estrada on regular rest? Estrada/Price Estrada/Price Stroman Dickey Estrada/Price Estrada/Price Stroman I could see Yost remembering that shutout Duffy had against the Jays (that 4 walk, 0K gem) and throwing him into the rotation. Although he hasn't thrown more than an inning in a month so maybe won't be that dumb...but he will do dumb stuff.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Someone's gonna say it............... Home Field.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Someone's gonna say it............... Home Field. Win one of two on the road, win the next 3 at home; easy peasy.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 No more friggin weekday day games, right? games 4, 5 and 6 don't have game times yet...so maybe. Tuesday and Wednesday are both on same day as NLDS so I imagine there will be a 4:00 start one of those days.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Sparks will f***ing fly this series I can't wait
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 This should be good. Texas was awful, but KC is is a buzzsaw. This could be a classic.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Rotation isn't even mildly worrisome imho. Hamels > Cueto especially.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Return of rios, it has come full circle.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Rotation isn't even mildly worrisome imho. Hamels > Cueto especially. Gallardo vs the Jays > Anyone on KC
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I have a feeling that Zobrist will be the Odor of this series, so we need to be careful with him.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Rotation isn't even mildly worrisome imho. Hamels > Cueto especially. Hamels and Gallardo are greater vs the Jays than any two pitchers KC can throw at us.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I don't think I can handle paying close attention to Ned Yost for seven games. That man is offensive.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I have a feeling that Zobrist will be the Odor of this series, so we need to be careful with him. Zobrist is a very good player and like Gardner is one of those guys we struggle to get out. Just have to limit the damage. We will have some guys get hot against them too.
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I like jays chances v KC. Steal at least one on the road first, and wrap it at home.

Ned Yost and Don Wakamatsu are quite the tag team alright. I can't wait for the double sac bunt with a runner on 1st and no one out!

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 For some reason his name always makes me think of a yeast infection. Haha....I wonder if KC fans call one of his dumb moves a Yost infection.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 As long as he keeps batting his best hitter 8th, I can deal with looking at his face.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 As long as he keeps batting his best hitter 8th, I can deal with looking at his face. At least he admitted recently that he realizes that batting Alcides first makes no sense but he feels the team does best when he's there.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I actually like the 2-3-2 setup for the road team. Was always confused by that alignment. If you can steal a game in KC your in the drivers seat. This series will be very good but once again feel confident we can win and very much looking forward to Friday. It be very fitting to unseat the reigning American League Champions.

Frag Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Free Hendriks! Especially against his former team.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 So, on Friday, our four starters will have the following amount of rest: 1) Price: 3 days rest 2) Stroman : 1 days rest 3) Estrada: 4 days rest 4) Dickey: 3 days rest Based on that, we should see our rotation set up as follows, assuming there isn't anything wrong with Price. Friday: Estrada (4 days) Saturday: Price (4 days) Monday: Stroman (4 days) Tuesday: Dickey:(6 days) Wednesday: Estrada:(4 days) Friday: Price (5 days) Saturday: Stroman (4 days)
