o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 wow... how people forget their history. this is Joe Carter all over again. lol no... I don't think Joe Carter is half the player Jose is.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 This doesn't even warrant a poll, Bautista hands down.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 wow... how people forget their history. this is Joe Carter all over again. lol no... I don't think Joe Carter is half the player Jose is. It's a 5-game series. Bautista is deserving.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Carter's was a wall-scraper. Bautista's was a cannon shot off the 2nd deck facade. still only 1 hit over a 5 game series. Jose was barely a factor for the first two games. Pillar had a great series defensively and hit really well all series. lets not lose sight of the important fact that the jays won 3 had to games and texas can f*** off. lol
Frag Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Come on guys... It has to be Bautista. Yes Pillar was solid all-around, but Bautista's homerun will be remembered for decades. Plus he's had a couple other big hits this series. When people think back to this series they'll remember Bautista, not Pillar. Pillar's catches will be remembered like Devon White's catches.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Pillar's catches will be remembered like Devon White's catches. Devon White never dove. He covered massive amounts of real estate, but he hardly ever dove. I honestly can't remember one time that he dove....and I used to watch A LOT of baseball back then.
OBPlover Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Bautista, easily. And I love Pillar. Don't forget about Bautista's RBI single which put the Jays on the board. He drove in 4 of the Jays 6 runs in the most important game of the season.
Jayzfan79 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 its for the ALDS MVP...not the ALDS Game 5 MVP. Pillar is deserving and should win the award.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Just in case there's any confusion about this... There is no actual ALDS MVP award.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 RUM " Dark " RUM !!! LOL
nonamejays Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I think we as a league are all going to hate Odor soon. What a special talent.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Is it distasteful to send in a write-in ballot for Elvis Andrews? Regardless, thank you Elvis. (I almost feel bad for him) Edited October 15, 2015 by G-Snarls

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Pillar’s 125 out of zone plays lead all big-league outfielders in 2015
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Voted EE, he was a consistent threat in the lineup. The whole series Texas was pitching around him. On second glance though, Pillar had a monster series and I would change it to him.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 For the life of me - I never in a million years thought we'd be considering whether Pillar would be the ALDS MVP. WHAT a season. I whole heartily love the man. I don't think he's a 5 WAR player - but he WILL forever have a spot in my heart!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Is it ditasteful to send in a write-in ballot for Elvis Andrews? Regardless, thank you Elvis. (I almost feel bad for him) Elvis was my thought too. I do feel bad for him, he gets s*** on more than anyone in Texas.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Just realized that three organization developed pitchers won the game yesterday
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Elvis was my thought too. I do feel bad for him, he gets s*** on more than anyone in Texas. Well, since they jettisoned JP Arencibia anyway
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Pillar would be my ALDS MVP, but a close 2nd would be Aaron Sanchez. Dude pitched in every game, albeit only 5.1 IP, but late in a playoff game is always a high leverage situation. You don't seem to think of Mid Relievers/Setup guys until they screw up, but the fact that he's not really thought of speaks to his performance.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 People forget the amazing catch Pillar made in the sixth inning, if that drops different game right there
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Cola or Pillar if anything else your crazy. I'm crazy for voting Joey Bats?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 its for the ALDS MVP...not the ALDS Game 5 MVP. Pillar is deserving and should win the award. Doesn't matter.
