nucker101 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 To be fair when Martin said he didn't understand what Gibbons was thinking he also said he would never question bringing in a Cy Young caliber pitcher. Martin didn't say it negatively, but it just goes to show that a very experienced player like Martin didn't understand it. That's his nice way of saying "what the f**k are you doing Gibby?"
Treeplant Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 "It's a little bit hard as a competitor" Dickey on getting pulled. Said it was "nothing", but you can tell he didn't like it.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 f***ing Astros. I already had to leave work early Thursday, skip it entirely on Friday, and now either sell my game five tickets or leave early again on Wednesday. lol. I shouldn't laugh but couldn't help it.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Baseball fans around the world scratching their heads today. A whole lot of idiots i guess.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Our own players are questioning his decision... are they idiots who don't understand playoff baseball too? They aren't questioning it.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibby interview coming up. Probably gonna say the same thing Pat said.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 some strange decisions but we got the win

Jim_Ackers_balls Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I am sure that first caller is from Cambridge and not from Rogers head office.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I don't know how many times this needs to be said, but Price coming in was was nothing more than for rotation/rest schedule reasons, and partially to try and give him a confidence boost while avoiding the potential of him getting rocked in Game 5.
nucker101 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 They aren't questioning it. You can read their minds?

I think this is it.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 You can read their minds? Don't have to, just listen to them talk. Martin in no way was questioning the decision
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons; It probably wasn't a relationship-building move. lolol
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 So basically Gibby is saying he doesn't trust Dickey. Way to throw him under the bus. (or light a fire under him)
Treeplant Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 What an idiot Gibby saying he thought Choo was going to hit Dickey. It's exactly what I thought when I saw the move, but why would you say it in a press conference?
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 What's the point of repeating these questions to Gibbons, lol. He's just going to give the same answer.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Eric Byrnes on Rainmans HR. "Oppotacolicious" lol
Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons; It probably wasn't a relationship-building move. lolol He's good for comic relief, I'll give him that...
Treeplant Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Loup family issue? Did I miss that or that just came out?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Loup family issue? Did I miss that or that just came out? Yup, he isn't with them.

Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Loup family issue? Did I miss that or that just came out? I missed it too. I didn't know he was unavailable today.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 What is this family issue that caused Loup to miss a postseason game? I'm not criticizing, but just wondering.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibby's the man, gained so much respect for him today.
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Loup had family issues, wasn't available for the game. Price was their only lefty.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 What is this family issue that caused Loup to miss a postseason game? I'm not criticizing, but just wondering. That had to be pretty important, there were a lot of questions to even add Loup to the roster and he missed an elimination game.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Loup had family issues, wasn't available for the game. Price was their only lefty. So knowing that, why burn your only lefty with a 6 run lead, leaving him unavailable for game 5. Gibby doesn't know Loup will be back for Game 5?
