To be fair when Martin said he didn't understand what Gibbons was thinking he also said he would never question bringing in a Cy Young caliber pitcher.

 

Martin didn't say it negatively, but it just goes to show that a very experienced player like Martin didn't understand it.

 

That's his nice way of saying "what the f**k are you doing Gibby?"

f***ing Astros. I already had to leave work early Thursday, skip it entirely on Friday, and now either sell my game five tickets or leave early again on Wednesday.

I don't know how many times this needs to be said, but Price coming in was was nothing more than for rotation/rest schedule reasons, and partially to try and give him a confidence boost while avoiding the potential of him getting rocked in Game 5.

That had to be pretty important, there were a lot of questions to even add Loup to the roster and he missed an elimination game.

Loup had family issues, wasn't available for the game. Price was their only lefty.

 

So knowing that, why burn your only lefty with a 6 run lead, leaving him unavailable for game 5. Gibby doesn't know Loup will be back for Game 5?
