canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons is dumb for calling bunt? that was the play that should have happened. You guys are senile
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I'm fine with 1. Just get any run you can.
Floortom Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Revere can't even hit it past the pitcher...why not take a few more pitches
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Well, one run at least. Would love to get a big inning for once and bury these f***ers.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibby always does = dumb the bunt clearly wasn't a call from the bench and it would have kept them out of the double play if it had worked
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Hitting is very difficult and some scouting and general advice (not exactly telling them what to do) should be part of any mlb team That's the job of the hitting coach and if I recall correctly, he did a damn good job of it in the regular season
Atlas Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Has Revere EVER tried to wait for a better pitch? Or take some to make the pitcher work???
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 the bunt clearly wasn't a call from the bench and it would have kept them out of the double play if it had worked wouldnt have cashed in a run
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Every run matters for us, take what we can get and protect the f*** out of it.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons is dumb for calling bunt? that was the play that should have happened. You guys are senile Gibby didn't call for a bunt, Navarro is too slow
fireballW Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Okay really... Our problem is not taking walks. Getting guys to walk and putting extra pressure on the pitchers is always big for us. Now it is getting 2-0, 3-0 or 3-1 and guys all want to be heroes.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Gibbons is dumb for calling bunt? that was the play that should have happened. You guys are senile who do you think was on 3rd?
500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 1-0 JD-JB-EE getting a second look, i like
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 the bunt clearly wasn't a call from the bench and it would have kept them out of the double play if it had worked that's the point. They don't always work and they give up an out and you don't know it wasn't called from the bench. Navvy wouldn't score on bunt ...too slow.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 bad series Revere Singles hitter in a slump at the wrong time.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Anyone notice the weak tappers back to the pitchers this series? Seems really high
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Revere is a complete boner killer.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Has Revere EVER tried to wait for a better pitch? Or take some to make the pitcher work??? He's a contact hitter with one of the lowest K rates. At least he puts the ball in play and gives him a chance to get on. That's his game.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 lol, cmon revere get it past the pitcher next time at least
el duque Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 That's the job of the hitting coach and if I recall correctly, he did a damn good job of it in the regular season well, is he still there? because they are hitting for 177 in playoffs
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 That's like 7 straight ball counts to start
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Singles hitter in a slump at the wrong time. Seems to me they are all in a slump.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 I still don't understand why teams don't take advantage of the free base in first and third less than 2 out situations. They are unlikely to throw threw so you have potential hesitation. The hitter is likely to get a breaking ball. And lastly Pillar is a base stealer. That DP should have never happend.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I can smell Odor from here.
