Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 They know they need to lay off the goo and wait on pitches in the zone, and if they don't we will be over. Right now he has us swinging at s***. 2nd time around we get him. And if we don't? Will you stop white knighting then?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Announcers are at least bearable today.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Sure they are, but the point was about Texas good pitchers beating our hitters... and they`ve done it more than our guys have. Our team with it`s massive offensive numbers, are getting smoked so far by good pitching. The starters for Texas actually haven't been good at all.
el duque Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Guys, we have the best offense in baseball. We live and die with the long ball and we cant all of a sudden turn the meat of our order into Tony Gwynns. Edwin crushed a ball....right at someone. They know they need to lay off the goo and wait on pitches in the zone, and if they don't we will be over. Right now he has us swinging at s***. 2nd time around we get him. Perhaps this team was put together based on some statitistics s***, but you can not have all hitters looking for HR all the time, I agree is what we have

All homerun approach almost never works out for a World Series title. Part of the problem this series is no one is hitting at all.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Perez is not throwing strikes. But they are swinging at them anyway. Frustrating because we have been patient most of the season. Usually sinkers don't stay in the zone, that's the art of the pitch and not easy to lay off.

China Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Jays are coming out swinging! At anything and everything!
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Rangers fans don't know about Pillar
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 And if we don't? Will you stop white knighting then? I don't see the point in being frantic and overly negative ever. YES PILLAR!!! Big catch!!!
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Heart attack, thought that was going to carry out.
Patrick Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 The starters for Texas actually haven't been good at all. We`ll their total staff has outdone our hitters..
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Christ he is getting behind every hitter.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Someone check that padding for a broken scapula
China Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Looks like the Jays really want to win, the way they're swinging for the fences on every pitch... good strategy, right?
IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Why did ppl s*** on Perez? We always underestimate our opponents and it bites us in the ass. Perez realizes that he does not have to put it in the strike zone cuz the hitters are swinging anyway. When they stop chasing he will come into the zone cuz it will be called as balls. Jays need to show some patience though.
