Patrick Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 We`ve heard for years that in the playoffs, good pitching beats good hitting. I think we`re actually seeing it so far in this series.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Tulo 0-11, I am starting to think we were better with Reyes Lol
IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 dude... don't respond to trolls. lol Lots of new fans - dd not see it was a troll however glad to see him dressed in red now.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 All nerves. Need to relax. This isn't about not hitting in the playoffs because of good starting pitching. These pitchers are nothing special. Guys are just trying too hard. We keep waiting for them to wake up starting to think it's not going to happen.
fapaholic Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Oh lookie, Jays making him look like Cy Perez as usual..........
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 We`ve heard for years that in the playoffs, good pitching beats good hitting. I think we`re actually seeing it so far in this series. Price and Stroman aren't good pitchers?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Perez is not throwing strikes. But they are swinging at them anyway. Frustrating because we have been patient most of the season.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Tulo 0-11, I am starting to think we were better with Reyes Only thing Reyes has going for him is that his contract expires after next year
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Tulo 0-11, I am starting to think we were better with Reyes Might not have made it here though. Reyes' defense was taking us down a dark road. Tulo has been great on defense. Just way to inconsistent offensively.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 We`ve heard for years that in the playoffs, good pitching beats good hitting. I think we`re actually seeing it so far in this series. It hasn't been good pitching. Would you really take their pitching staff over ours?
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Tulo going through a Jose Reyes like decline in plate discipline
43211234 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 This thread is unreadable. So many wizards of hitting in this thread.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Perez is not throwing strikes. But they are swinging at them anyway. Frustrating because we have been patient most of the season. They had the day off too. It's almost as they've surrendered
deadlee Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 At the ballpark here. These days are pretty cool.. Lots of blue jays fansaround the visitors dugout.. Time to right this ship now
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Guys, we have the best offense in baseball. We live and die with the long ball and we cant all of a sudden turn the meat of our order into Tony Gwynns. Edwin crushed a ball....right at someone. They know they need to lay off the goo and wait on pitches in the zone, and if they don't we will be over. Right now he has us swinging at s***. 2nd time around we get him.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 went to Forty Creek when I was home. Didn't like their whiskey but I liked the glasses. That's in my hometown! Yeah I mean for a cheap whiskey I don't mind it. Certainly better than CC or Wisers IMO.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Tulo 0-11, I am starting to think we were better with Reyes Oh God no. You think this series is bad now, imagine Reyes costing us a game with one of his patented Junior Farm League errors.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Don't have a good feeling about this one. Hitters still not looking good.
Floortom Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Might not have made it here though. Reyes' defense was taking us down a dark road. Tulo has been great on defense. Just way to inconsistent offensively. I would say he's been pretty damn consistent at the plate actually
Patrick Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Price and Stroman aren't good pitchers? Sure they are, but the point was about Texas good pitchers beating our hitters... and they`ve done it more than our guys have. Our team with it`s massive offensive numbers, are getting smoked so far by good pitching.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 We`ve heard for years that in the playoffs, good pitching be7ats good hitting. I think we`re actually seeing it so far in this series. Not really, two s*** ballers giving up nothing and their ace getting hit doesn't really prove that
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Oh lookie, Jays making him look like Cy Perez as usual.......... We have never faced Perez before...
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 This is eerily similar to how raos got swept this year too
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Tulo 0-11, I am starting to think we were better with Reyes Dumbest post of the year.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I doubt they'd be able to get a hit off of Jeff Francis.
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Estrada has been down 3-0 or 3-1 three out of the first four batters. Not ideal.
Atlas Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Perez had 13 pitches in the 1st, but 16 in the second! At least they made him throw more....ha! Yeah, I know I'm reaching, but #SilverLinings
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 That's in my hometown! Yeah I mean for a cheap whiskey I don't mind it. Certainly better than CC or Wisers IMO. I'm more of a Carhu, Glenmorangie, Glenlivet kind of guy. 40 creek isn't cheap for what you're getting. Grimsby.... so sad. lol
