For getting the Baseball-Savant data for certain MiLB games, get the game id from MiLB game day and then replace any game id in any gamefeed page in baseball-savant with that game id. For example, today’s Dunedin Blue Jays game:

MiLB gameday URL: https://www.milb.com/gameday/blue-jays-vs-threshers/2021/05/21/648838

Savant url: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?gamePk=648838

Gabriel Moreno just keeps on doing it: 3-for-4 with a 2B and a walk. He is quickly becoming an untouchable prospect with his performance in AA. .444/.519/.667 good for a 1.186 OPS. Quite frankly, I’m running out of words to say to describe what he’s doing right now.

Otto Lopez also doing really well in AA. .368/.419/.500

Austin Martin 3-for-4 with a double and a walk. Nice to see him have a good day after a little bit of a struggle.

Zach Logue, 6 innings of 1 run ball with 3 hits, 1 walk, and 6K.

Nick Allgeyer pitching for the Bisons tomorrow, Simeon Woods-Richardson pitching for AA, and Adam Kloffenstein for High-A. Should be an exiting day to follow tomorrow.

Very nice.

I tried a couple things like placing "milb" instead of "mlb" in the url and adding /minors at the end lol. I knew there must be a way to see these after the screen shots posted for Frasso.

For those that know way more about prospects than I do, is Otto Lopez a real prospect? What are his tools like? Thanks in advance.

He's probably best thought of as a utility prospect. He can hit and has some speed but probably doesn't have average power. Some defensive utility but it doesn't sound like he's a good shortstop. There's a small chance his hit tool is just good enough to carry the whole package into being a league average second baseman or something like that. His more reasonable ceiling is a bench SS/2B/OF. It sounds like he does the little things right.

Yes, he's ranked 11th by MLB, Jim Callis on him...

Born in Santo Domingo and raised for several years in Montreal after his father’s teaching job took the Lopez family to Canada, Otto signed with the Blue Jays back in 2016 and has quietly put up numbers ever since. Starting in the Gulf Coast League in ’17, Lopez posted a slash line of .275/.361/.360, then stepped into a little more power in ’18 with Vancouver. Lopez’s breakout came in ’19 with Lansing, where he won the Class A Midwest League batting title with a .325 average while playing second base, shortstop and the corner outfields.

Lopez does a little bit of everything, and does most of it quite well. His offensive profile is certainly hit-over-power, but he’s added some strength over the past year and is starting to impact the baseball with more authority. With good speed and athleticism, Lopez can also be a threat on the bases and fill the gaps in the outfield. As one of the most versatile players in the organization, Lopez has super-utility potential, which opens up several different avenues for him to reach the Major Leagues. His arm plays well enough at infield and outfield positions, too.

Added to the Blue Jays’ 40-man roster this past winter to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft, Lopez will test himself in the upper Minors this season and could put himself on track for a debut in 2022. His power tool is worth monitoring in ’21, but he’s a comfortable fit with the organization’s emphasis on positional versatility.

Catcher position is pretty crowded

Jansen is finally hitting better and everyone knows he's a very good defender

Kirk is Kirk

Moreno looks phenomenal

Reese has perhaps redeemed himself more than a bit

Does someone move off catcher? It they do it can't be to 1B. Vlad's gonna be there for 10-12 years hopefully, racking up Silver slugger and MVP awards :)

Do we just make two of Kirk, Moreno and McGuire toil in the minors for years?

Do they trade one this off season in a package for a front line starter with 2-3 years of control left?

Trade, there's no rush.

Depth and running out of positions for players is a good thing. Dodgers have been doing it for years. They have really good players on their bench every year and dudes ready to come up in the minors and perform. This isn’t a feelings game. One of the most painful parts of being a Jays fan is how s*** the bench is every year. Just non competitive options outside of some defensive viability. We want people banging at the door and kicking that door down. We want good players being unhappy about playing time. These are good things.

that would feel weird.

Jansen's arb years begin after this season. I think he's being moved in the off season, but depends on what they want to do with Kirk/Moreno (tandem at the big league level? Start Kirk at DH/part time C?).

Lots to time to make that decision though.

I would be willing to trade Mcguire for a frontline starter with 3 years of control left.

Yeah...gimme Max Scherzer!...If McGuire alone won't close the deal I would be willing to toss in Panik! (only if required though) ;)

Kloffenstein got roughed up today. 7 ER in 3 innings, 4 walks and 1K

Woods-Richardson gave up 3 ER in 5 but still ended up with 8K’s. He was down early, but battled back and made adjustments. It’s was a more impressive performance than the numbers would show.

Hagen Danner as a pitcher so far in High A...

9 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 12 K

2.00 ERA, 0.78 WHIP

Haha sick

Not sure why but I love pitchers who are converted catchers. Something cool about it.

SWR's BB/9 is a bit high at 3.79, which is unusual for him, but it's only 4 starts. His K/9 is ridiculous though at 14.68 lol, basically Jacob deGrom.

It's baseball's version of "if you want something done right, do it yourself"

Anyone know why Groshans hasn't been playing lately? I'm assuming some sort of injury.

I think they have been rotating a few days off here and there for the players

Breyvic Valera has been tearing it up in AAA. 2-for-3 with a 2B and a stolen base today. I’ve always really liked him and wished we gave him an extended look. Switch hitter, contact first profile, more walks than strikeouts. I know there was also an article that talked of a swing adjustment with him recently.

He’s older, but you just never know with these fringey types that have had success at AAA. They can figure it out later. I’d like to see him on the roster over Joe Panik anyways.
