Pearson and Pardinho are meh, and you are delusional if you think otherwise.

Pardinho is a 17 yr old 5’8’’ pitcher in old short season ball with meh stuff. Why don’t you let me know the history of short pitchers with meh stuff.

Pearson has thrown 1.2 innings above short season ball and was recently pretty mediocre over 20ip in the AFL. No one besides the Jays staff know what he is right now due to them seeing him pitch a lot in Dunedin facility games. But omg he throws 100mph and is high on a couple prospect lists I guess he is a lock to be the next stud.

Come on boxcar you’ve been around long enough you should be able to notice obvious red flags / warts on enough prospects and be able to make realistic but not delusional predictions of their future success.

But go ahead and flame me because like everyone else because I predict a player sucks/not a superstar.

My guesses I’d say will probably be 80% of the time a true mlb career outcome. The problem is that most of this forum always thinks of the 20% chance outcome of every player, in which they improve in multiple areas and reach their true ceiling.

Serious question. what is your expert opinion on Garrett Cooper?

Oh my God, that post, lol. Talk about delusional with zero self awareness.:D

tercet should apply for that BP job, he's got connections and clearly knows his prospects

you obviously believe yourself very knowledgeable. best way to prove it to the skeptics is to be successful in dynasty leagues. there are openings in BORED and BBDL

i expect you would suck, so prove me wrong

I don't know never seen him play, just assume he is an AAAA 1b until he proves otherwise.

Naw working for 25k a year or whatever isn't my thing, maybe 10 years ago but not now.

If I really wanted I'm pretty sure I could get a milb job with the Jays quite easily as my former hockey coach is the heads of jays milb (Charlie Wilson), he gave me bunch of free tickets in the mid 2000s, and we reconnected last spring at ST. But yet again not worth the 10 yr grind at minimum wage to maybe get a decent paying job/fo job.

You still don't get it. The vast majority of prospects don't reach their realistic ceilings. You taking the side of them failing isn't a risk or particularly insightful, it's just betting on the most likely outcome.

You're the first person I've seen that's said Pardinho has meh stuff and the results don't back up that assertion. Will he be an ace? It's possible but very unlikely. How brave of you to predict that a seventeen year old pitching prospect will fail.

Dude tercet you only like DJ and VGJ in our system and think every other player sucks. There will definitely be more than 2 good players produced from our current system so I dont see how you will end up with an 80% success rate there

Right now I have him number 56. But I expect him to have a big year

and rise up pretty fast if he does. But I'm also expecting 5 to 10

lower players in system also starting to rise up. Keep a eye on

Rainer Nunez and Yunior Hinojosa.

Do you like Cal Stevenson?

I have him right around the same place as Otto Lopez and Tanner Kirwer

Who is this years Alford? Someone you have way lower than the rest of the board?

Vlad Sr. has his boy working hard... ;)

That is cool. Never knew he was a cross fitter. That type of routine is much better than a typical weight room IMO.

Most Latin Americans do this training, I remember watching Altuve do this, little guy is strong as an Ox.

I hope to f***ing god he isn't doing crosshit. The last thing we need his him getting injured.

IIRC Mike Trout does that same type of training.

I like Thornton and Merryweather the best. To me they look like starters in that they can command multiple pitches and throw strikes. Thornton has made over 40 starts in the PCL and survived just fine. I think his breaking ball plays up outside of that environment. Merryweather has an interesting fastball/curve/change tunnel I think. Good velocity too. Both have high floors IMO. Best chance to accumulate innings and WAR.

SRF might not throw enough strikes but his Z-Contact is pretty good. He has the highest ceiling because he can get hitters out in the zone which is tough to do. I don't know if he has anything against LHBs though. Almost a 1:1 BB/K in the show and got killed by them in the minors as well.

Paulino's fastball needs a couple more ticks.

Borucki might survive as a #5 but needs more swinging strikes.

Can SRF become AJ Burnett?
