Mayza unfortunately is bald as well, during the poker charity tourney a month ago I didn’t even know who he was took about 30 minutes to figure out, never seen him without a hat on.

Yeah, he was optioned before the season started on 3/18, rosterresourse is wrong. 39 on the 40.

 

Well, optioning a player doesn't remove him from the 40 man roster, so he should still be there unless he had been dFA'd. Weird

This confuses me. If he was never DFA since the start of the year he should be on the 40 man roster right now.

 

That's what I'm saying big guy, he's on the 40 man on that site, but the MLB site doesn't, I think it's their(MLB) mistake. It's what I've been saying all along.

Vladdy's in a league of his own, of course.

 

I read on Fangraphs, It was either a Longenhagen chat or fringe five that his body looks like a late career Jhonny Peralta. I don't know what his defense is like. But if he rakes in AA as a 19 year old he's going to be impossible to ignore for any longer.

 

I know it's been only a handful of games at AA but, as a fantasy owner in LoD, I can barely contain my excitement for Paredes. The bat looks absolutely legit.

If that’s the spark he needed I’m all for it. He’s probably an extended hot streak away from a promotion anyway.

Might as well give him a shot. Service time isn’t really an issue, he’d have to have a Soto like impact to start next year on the 25 man.

 

It’s obv unlikely, but how cool would it be if by the end of next season the starting lineup includes:

 

C: Jansen

1B: Tellez

2B: Gurriel

3B: Guerrero

SS: Bichette

Justin Smoak is currently a top 10 1B for the second year in a row, and considering he's a very good defender at the position I doubt it would make sense to DH him or bring up Tellez to DH. We could move him of course, but his contract is super valuable and it doesn't seem like the market pays for slugging non-elite first basemen anymore.
