Starting tomorrow for the big club?

 

I think so. I can't wait.

 

I know I'm the high man on Foley around these parts and believe he can become a #2 if continues to iron out his control, but I'm not alone; as those same predictions were written about him after his 2016 season.

 

That said, I know 2017's struggles derailed him mightily to where 2018's success has him flying under the radar a bit.

 

I just hope he can keep the same mindset a string together a few impressive starts down the stretch for us.

It's probably too late for a guy to "iron out" his control by the time he has reached AAA and subsequently the majors. The command he has now may slightly improve.... but it's unlikely to take a major step forward.

I think he can be a solid #2 the way he has pitched this year. Keep getting better with command he may be a borderline #1 but he has to limit the walks big time going forward.

His walk rate is actually quite good in AAA this season. It's under league average.

Meh, it does for some guys. In fact, there's a pair of excellent examples starting against each other right now.

Man, I guess none of the trade deadline pick ups are playing today in the minors. At least we got a Forest HR yesterday.

who comes off the 40? Mayza, McGuire, Santos?

 

Right now they're saying tomorrow's a BP start with Santos starting. I'd imagine they just put JD on the 60 day DL.

I think this one's missing Taylor Guerrieri, no way he would've been DFA'd.

 

Guerreri was on there this morning that is the one I use.

I guess he does, I dunno. It was pointed out earlier today by another poster that the Jays were at 39, and I never really bothered to fact-check it.

Yeah, he was optioned before the season started on 3/18, rosterresourse is wrong. 39 on the 40.
