jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Did you get Matsui? I've only been playing 3 years, but the main posters have been playing fantasy together for over a decade. It's a fun, fulfilling hobby. I know you were just being an ******* but yeah I decided to answer anyways.

43211234 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I don't know if anyone has posted this before but I learned today that Guadalupe Chavez, the former Blue Jays prospect that was traded for Scott Feldman, retired last year. https://www.chron.com/sports/astros/article/Astros-minor-leaguer-Lupe-Chavez-retires-11074787.php Pretty bizarre. He had some very good numbers for an 18 year old in rookie ball. https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa872819&position=P

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) Maybe a thread dedicated to fantasy talk, no? We do for every league plus others for fantasy advice, ect. Probably the most active threads on the forum and when I say probably I mean definitely. The LoD thread has 3 million views and over 50k replies. lol Edited May 11, 2018 by jays4life19
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Nah Fair enough Btw, sorry fellas.. definitely didn't mean to start a pissing match lol was just curious, as someone who doesn't follow other teams prospects I didn't understand the obsession with Soto. Heck, I have a hard enough time keeping up with the Jay's prospects. Hockey seems so much easier to follow the guys coming up the pipeline

Their stats are all readily available, and they get a lot more coverage than in hockey.

There's really only 1 level below the NHL(I guess 2 if you count major junior and US collegiate, but that's not pro level)... whereas below MLB there's 8 pro levels that have rosters to fill

The argument that you need to spam this thread with Mackenzie Gore ******** because "I play fantasy" seems completely irrelevant. Yes, I am being an *******, because its annoying having to rifle through pages of posts to see if anyone has posted 'X' update on 'Y' actual Blue Jays prospect because for some reason we need a running update on what Juan Soto did at every hour of that day, which pushes everything else back.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Damn, Juan Soto stuck out in his first PA tonight.

Sorry, i'll try and stick to Dennis Santana going forward. Dennis Santana walked none and struck out 11 for Double-A Tulsa, allowing just one run in six innings. It was his second double-digit strikeout game of the season, and the sixth time in seven starts that Santana has allowed two or fewer runs. The six innings and 83 pitches were a season high for Santana, who now sports a 2.12 ERA for the Drillers, with 48 strikeouts (a 35% K rate) and 10 walks in 34 innings. wow!

metafour Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Also, just LOL at trying to ego-trip with fantasy baseball as if its some sort of measure of baseball acumen. I played fantasy baseball a decade ago too kiddo; I've also posted on basically every Blue Jays related forum worth anything over that span of time as well. Running RealGM account from 2003, come at me huehuehue.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Did you watch his start? I missed his last start but I think he starts next Monday so will watch it. (I will give a detailed report in this thread) MILB tv is really a great investment.

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Biggio is a part of any "Big 3" only as much as Nicolino was ever a part of the "Lansing Trio"
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 The fact that Tebow went from non baseball player to above average hitter in AA is pretty impressive. 130 wRC+ after tonight.. I bet he'll be called up this year, maybe September.
