Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 6 weeks doesn't sound bad though... Unless he meant 6 months. Typically it's 3 to 6 months recovery, considering it's his throwing wrist he's likely done for the year.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Someone post the tweet of vladdys 2nd homer off the hotel.

Ray Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Bo isn't raking like Vlad or Cavan, but I still think he needs to get credit. He's slashing .302/.393/.453 with 9 stolen bases. Good for a .846 OPS, and apparently his defense has been good enough at short that he could stick there. No homer yet, but tons of doubles and triples. I'm sure the game power will come soon enough. Most impressive thing is he's still keeping that k% under 20% and walking at a good clip too. Very impressive, yet getting a little overshadowed by Cavan and Vladdy.

When the Jays are out of the race promote all three of them and call them The Legacy Three.

What is it with people and their desire to waste ST on non-competitive baseball? I mean like specifically waiting until the Blue Jays are out of the playoff hunt.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 What a terrible thing to happen to our best pitching prospect

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Mackenzie Gore is starting today on MILB tv at noon. Get the popcorn ready.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Josh Naylor is off to a great start this year, game power is starting to show. Walking more than he strikes out and he's halved his K-Rate from his AA sample last year. Will be interesting to see if this sticks for a full season.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Mackenzie Gore is starting today on MILB tv at noon. Get the popcorn ready. Man oh man, Gore strikes the first 2 guys out using only 7 pitches. Gore get's lit in the 2nd inning, although his D did not help him at all. Edited May 8, 2018 by jays4life19
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Something to help offset the Osuna news: https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-vlad-guerrero-jr-just-hit-home-run-off-tee/ Bomb to the opposite field, off a tee!

CBlake Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 So how long will it take for Biggio to be considered a real prospect?
metafour Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 So how long will it take for Biggio to be considered a real prospect? Players like this don't ever really make it to "real prospect" status. They will be written off all the way up until they are contributing as MLB regulars (in the scenario wherein they pan out). Kevin Pillar is an example of this. Biggio is already in AA, so if he's for real then there really isn't time for him to get "prospect recognition" either.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Cavan Biggio is the next Matt Carpenter.
CBlake Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Cavan Biggio is the next Matt Carpenter. Right on, I would happily take that for what we may get in Biggio.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 So how long will it take for Biggio to be considered a real prospect? Scott Kingery case 2.0 He needs to hit the whole year.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 TJ @ SRF making big steps would be awesome. Sucks that Nate got drilled/hurt! He'll fall a year back in development.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 TJ @ SRF making big steps would be awesome. Sucks that Nate got drilled/hurt! He'll fall a year back in development. 4-6 weeks. Fracture was nondisplaced so it's not as serious as it could have been. He'll be able to throw for most of the season assuming no further injuries
