GoldBull Verified Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Ray is #34 on his list, but it appears that Groome is going to be in Law's top 20. Good call - forgot about Groome. He'll be there...
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Ever wonder what a 1989 draft scouting report looked like... http://collection.baseballhall.org/islandora/object/islandora%3A337226 Not much has changed other than it being electronic now.

That's amazing. Thanks Hurl. It appears the scout was spot on with the exception of his speed.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Is Senzel the only 2016 draftee in Law's top 20 then? Also suprised that Tyler O'Neill doesn't crack his top 100 (unless he's somehow ranked him top 20) When does Senzel crack the majors? This year? What a stud.

King Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Not sure if this was posted... checked last few pages and didn't see it. Clinton Hollon has been released: http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/5548-Official-MiLB-Prospects-Thread?p=1110714&viewfull=1#post1110714

Laika Community Moderator Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Wow, Moncada at 17. I'm guessing he will be at least top 5 on every other list.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 This is going to be the only list with no David Paulino.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 That's called stat-scouting. The process always matters more than the results. I'm aware - but if someone who's the same age is putting up comparable results in the same league there can't be a massive difference. Especially when you factor in the apparent work ethic and intelligence that Rowdy's shown.

Bellinger is a 70 defender at 1B and can play a passable CF. Scout Grades Bellinger 60 hit 70 power 70 defense Tellez 55 hit 60 power 40 defense
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 wow a 70 grade defender at 1B! that sounds f***ing useless!
King Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Surprised Willie Calhoun is not even top 100. Johnny: I assume Calhoun missed because of his defensive (lack of) prowess, but which position would suit him best? Klaw: Batters’ box. Randy: If Willie Calhoun could play average defense at 2nd would he have made your top 100? Klaw: And if my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle. lol

Laika Community Moderator Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 If he can play a passable CF - then WTF would they even list or consider him at 1st base? It's a horseshit defensive report that has multiplied like bacteria.
