What's with all the Brady Dragmire hate? Other than the obvious reasons.

It's not hate. He's just been terrible. Easy DFA candidate if we need to make room on the 40

Oh ok. Yea I just haven't heard his name for awhile. Forgot he was on the 40.

Smoral strikes out the side again but gives up a run on 0 hits and 2 walks. I watched this guy in spring training over the years and he has so much raw talent. If he could only find some command of his pitches, he might still amount to something...reminded me a lot of Randy Johnson both in style of pitching and attractiveness.

Vlad Jr. having some early success. After last night's outburst:

.832 OPS, .219 ISO, 12.9 K%, 10.5 BB% thru his first 85 PA

He might be in line for a promotion to Vancouver in the near future.

lol, he would be the youngest player in the Northwest league by like.... 1.5 years under #2. Actually, all of low A ball.

Even if he plays 2017 in Vancouver he could be the youngest player in the entire league.

Who was the last 17 year old to play A ball?

Off the top of my head I'll go with Michael De Leon, Rangers SS

Obviously, it's not up to him, and this is pie-in-the-sky, but:

In addition to showcasing his slugging ability, Guerrero Jr., a former outfielder, is hoping to improve at third base, a position the Jays started playing him at last fall.

“I feel a little different because I haven’t really gotten the feel for third base, but I am hoping to get the feel for third base before the season starts.”

His goal is to impress the Blue Jays enough to warrant a roster spot on the Vancouver Canadians, Toronto’s class-A short season affiliate.

A year from now, Guerrero Jr. expects to be playing double-A baseball in the Blue Jays system. He is committed to making the Blue Jays roster before he turns 20.

I love the #want

Vlad the best

Judging from Cleveland though, Shapiro systems tend to be of the "slow and grow" variety. Although they were aggressive with Lindor the phenom, so there's that.

Dunedin at 18 would basically mean that he's a slam-dunk top 25 prospect at that point.

The last Jays prospect I can think of (off the top of my head) that was 18 in Dunedin was Delgado.

Carlos? He was 20 when he hit Dunedin.

I actually went and looked at every Dunedin roster since the mid 90s and all I could find was Robinson Diaz, who had 10 games in 2002. I'm guessing Dunedin just needed a catcher in some emergency situation because he only had a .688 OPS in rookie ball that season. Medicine Hat!

You're right. Don't know why I always thought he was 18.

Yeah, the only way Vlad shoots up to, even, Dunedin next season is if he absolutes rakes like a phenom. It is possible though, he's doing quite well for himself in Bluefield and the learning curve has been pretty quick for him.

Let's be aggressive King, Bo Bichette

Norberto and Vlad the Impaler to

Vancouver!!!

This would be a upgrade I feel compared to what they got playing there now too!!!

One step at a time. We're talking about 70 PA sample sizes here. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be promoted, just saying that there's only so much that you can see from a stat line about someone's readiness for promotion.

That being said, having Biggio, Bichette and Vlad Jr on the same infield would be cool to watch

Maeses number was re-assigned to Zeuch. It seems like he's been promoted
