Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Sincerely hoping the dome is open this afternoon..16-17 degrees, partly cloudy with basically no chance of rain. Hoping MLB gives us the green light. Would definitely help our big boys out.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Missing Beltre creates a big hole for them offensively, Alberto is obviously nowhere near the hitter and showed a few vulnerable moments in defence as well. If JD and Bats are indeed fine (I'd reckon not 100% but hopefully at least 90%) then advantage us in my view.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Jays Fans, yesterday is done. We Win today. Then it's a new series. Can't wait to head down to the RC and take it in. Go Jays!
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I hope the bats show up today and smash these dirty rangers of the south.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 It was 60-40 Toronto before today, now probably 65 - 35 Rangers. So we're underdogs but not overwhelmingly so. Not really...I was checking my Sportsbook to see if I could get some nice odds on the Jays coming back to win the series and it was still pretty much even money. -105 for the Jays, -115 for Texas.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 If there is any hope to hang on to now I suppose it's that Jays this year in general has been steaky when it comes to wins, and that they've played very well in Arlington over the last 3 years. A huge task obviously, but I also don't see it as an impossible. We just need our guys to step up their game to their next level and just get on a roll again to beat the odds.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 The Jays are probably toast, but I hope they can at least extend the series to a fourth game. One last David Price start would be nice.

One last David Price start would be nice. Yeah, this is the most reasonable performance that we can expect out of them at this point I think. It would be very hard to accept a sweep at the hands of the Rangers any way you look at it... if they end up losing the series we can't be really surprised at that at this point, but I do expect them to at least put up a good fight in Arlington for couple games to give us some hope. I'd also like to see one more (which I'm sure would be a very inspired) start from Price to give him a chance to redeem himself... no offense to Dickey but at this point I do think we have to play this card.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 It's not looking hopeful. But anything is possible.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Exactly. And the pitchers we're facing in Arlington give us a great change for that. For whatever reason I also tend to think hitting the road may relieve a bit of pressure from them, being away from all the Toronto media and hype might help them relax. I'm quite optimistic about our chances in Arlington; we have an 8-2 record there in the past 3 years. I think the bats will come alive again starting on Sunday night, we just gotta hope that Estrada can limit the long balls on their end (which is my main concern with Marco), I'm still more worried about our pitching than hitting to be honest.
37stieb Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I think the most frustrating thing for me as a fan, and probably for the players as well, is how little they've been in control of the games both Game 1 and most of Game 2. We had been behind playing catch up/at even score for most of the innings in Game 1/2 combined after an early slip up by us in both, and it seemed like everytime we inched back into it, they went ahead to score an extra insurance run. We finally got over the hump and took the lead in today's game but to give that up in just a few innings (with your best reliever on at that) was just totally demoralizing. IMO this team needs one of those typical big innings they were used to getting in the regular season to get their confidence and groove back, to believe that they can overtake the control of any given game at any time again. Game one was F-ing brutal. We score a run, DP gives up a run in return. It was like running on a treadmill. Going nowhere fast. Hoping to see Price in Game 4 and deal like he was meant to.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 With us behind 0-2 in the series now, we're now the underdogs in likelihood of winning the series so hopefully that pressure our players may have felt from the first two home games as heavy favourites is now off. Pressure is now on Rangers now to finish it off at their home, and each game in where they fail to do so will build up to even more pressure on their end. A statement game from us offensively for game 3 will swing the momentum right back to our side IMO.
spittin Verified Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 The storylines are brewing, Price's redemption in game 4 then bringing it home for game 5 to cap off a great comeback on the way to their third World Series championship.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 That Jonn guy too. I have cursed this team. I become a Blue Jays fan on October 1st and all they do is lose. Time to go back to hockey.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I'm still dejected. These was supposed to be an amazing few days of sports for me. Was hoping TFC would save my weekend but they don't play till the 14th. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 10, 2015 Author Posted October 10, 2015 Why is Texas starting Holland and Perez over Lewis? That makes no sense.
