magits Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Gotta be Barry Davis for me. Annoyed me how to tried to ambush JD coming out of the dugout after the walkoff win as he was saluting the crowd.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) Thought it was pretty daring of him to sneak in that "You gonna pay for my dry cleaning for the suit now Jose?" during the locker room celebration after all that debacle between Bats and Sportsnet over that Travis Suit incident. At least Jose took it in stride and told him he might get him a new one. Edited September 27, 2015 by EMK19
Jellz Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hazel Mae is my least favourite. And she's not even hot.
Roy Halladay Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Ya Barry Davis rubs me the wrong way. Seems way to pushy during interviews and tries too hard to be funny. Ends up coming off as an *******.

This exactly I was gonna say yesterday the team is celebrating a bit and he says stupid s*** like this as well as talking to buerhle about this being his last home start, just let the f***ing man enjoy the moment you f***ing tool
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Apparently the Jays players know this, considering what they do every time he comes up. Wonder what they'll do with the FOX guys when the ALDS starts(FOX has broadcast rights, and will be doing the games.. no more Buck and Pat.)
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 B. Davis and it's not even close.
GreekFatAss Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 All I know is, Shi Davidi is the f***ing man. Best beat writer in Toronto sports.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hazel Mae and Barry Davis' love child... FTW
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 After Martin's huge HR against the Yankees on Wednesday Barry Davis started his next segment with something like, "On a day when great Yankees catcher Yogi Berra passes away, a former Yankee catcher hits a huge home run." Like, f*** off. Yes, let's use a legend's (or anyone's) passing for a s***** segway during a sporting event. It was enough to make him top this list for me. I wasn't at the seat at the time when he was interviewing Geddy yesterday, but I know if I was there I'd probably have to debate asking him about it. I honestly thought it was super s*****. Frankly I think most of the media crew lack a lot of on-the-spot charm that makes watching any sports reporter bearable. I think Zaun is okay. I don't always agree with him, but he's watchable. Campbell I don't like, but he's still somehow endearingly blundering. He's just there for me. Hazel Mae is terrible. Davidi seems to have his stuff together. I like reading his work. Not sure on Nicholson-Smith. I haven't really read much of his work, though. I'm not exactly sure what he brings to the table, but I think I should give him a fair shot. Wilner is sometimes fine to listen to. He's pretty reasonable sometimes, but other times he's just a spin doctor. The rest I either don't read enough or don't care to. Ken and Evanka are enjoyable as post-post-game people. But then again Evanka could mesmerize me reciting Mein Kampf, so.
baubau Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I don't know who is the worst, really hard to pick when a lot are terrible, but Dividi and BNS are probably the two best.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Barry Davis because everything he does makes me cringe. At least you can't say that about Wilner.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Two way tie between Arash and Barry.
43211234 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Too many to make a choice.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Arash shouldn't even be close to a baseball field. How did that loser get a job at Sportsnet? Barry Davis is a tool. The guy is a midget and seems like a huge wanker!
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Davidi is tops in my book. Ben-Nico is not bad either.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Two way tie between Arash and Barry. This. They're both just incredibly bad at their job. Wilner is terrible as well, but I don't listen to the radio much, so I'm not subjected to him too often.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Shi Davidi knows his stuff and is pretty knowledgable. I'd say he's probably the best Sportsnet has. Mike Wilner isn't that bad, though sometimes can be a Blue Jays homer. Overall, he is pretty rational though. Again, he had to deal with idiots calling him every night after a Blue Jays loss, which I'm sure a lot of veteran posters on here would have vented against haha. Zaun is watchable, though I don't take him seriously. Trying to be the Don Cherry of baseball. He provides some good insight on in-game stuff like certain plays etc, those his overall baseball analysis is lacking.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Whatever happened to that Sam Cosentino guy btw?

I really like him when he talks about the mental side of being a big leaguer though.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I would like to see Tim and Sid added to this poll. I think they'd win by a landslide.

Tim and Sid are entertaining and bring about good discussion on whats going on in sports. I don't take their analysis on baseball or other sports seriously, though they do put on a good show and I will tune in at times.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 whatever happened to that sam cosentino guy btw? OHL hockey coverage
Billy Bats Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Wilner is the biggest condescending ******* on radio yet I listen to Jays talk after almost every game.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I voted Zaun but Barry Davis was a very close second. Id rather hear from Cabbie, though im sure he knows nothing about baseball.

They act immature, rarely know what they're talking about and try too hard to be cool. They have a great set though.
Billy Bats Verified Member Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 who the hell hates on Tim and Sid? Best show in the nation.
