BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Thank God you quoted me Gov! Some cock sucking Mod is deleting my post's again thinking he's funny! Assshat ! FYSMC! Anyone else get a goodbye note from BBBB? He sent me one saying he was leaving the Board over "censorship" of his "unique" posts and ramblings. Im not sure I understand him all the time (or much) but he does add some color and he seems to be a true blue legit fan. RIP BBBB.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 All Torontonians flying out of Pearson should pay an additional toll as well!!
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 I'm tired of seeing fake lame fans who have just joined this board over the last month, thinking they've been Blue Jays fans for the last 20-30 years! Well I am 27 so not 20 - 30 years but been a fan since 1996, season ticket holder since 2006.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 It's like Provincial taxes don't exist! Obviously they do, however Toronto sends out the most in taxes out of all cities and receives the lowest amount back from the government, just saying. Zero Ontario taxes goes to maintaining the Gardiner/DVP just so y'all know, it all comes from Toronto taxes.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 you are safe. 50 here. Been following since day 1 in the snow. Also big Expos fan. 50 also, which may explain my stoic cynicism tonight i know we arent the oldest tho

How's the mining, oil extraction, and lumbering coming along in Toronto?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 You have been huge douche tonight. But not once have I insulted anyone
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 LOL hilarious Ontario (and Canada) is a commodity based economy. How's the mining, oil extraction, and lumbering coming along in Toronto? what about finance, tech start ups, pharmaceutical companies, ad agencies and multiple huge corporations? Toronto will be fine as long as Canada exist. Especially for the middle class or better. Ontario is in the shitter though

How's the mining, oil extraction, and lumbering coming along in Toronto? Laugh all you want, it has been proven that Toronto sends the most money to Ottawa and receives the lowest return from Ottawa for transits and infrastructure, the North mines and cuts trees down, great, Toronto has all the headquarters and banks so Toronto always wins.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 what about finance, tech start ups, pharmaceutical companies, ad agencies and multiple huge corporations? Toronto will be fine as long as Canada exist. Especially for the middle class or better. Ontario is in the shitter though Ontario is poised for a huge rebound with the low dollar and surging US economy. Ontario's debt to GDT ratio is the same as the late 1980's but a few years of growth will drop it back down to the low 30s. Provincial expenditure/capita is the lowest in Canada (partly due to efficient delivery) and corporate tax rates are among the lowest in the Great Lakes region. Let's see what happens.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 To get back on topic and brush our political views under the rug... The Jays clinched, would anyone seriously want to meet up for a beer sometime this week, I am fun at parties.

Link? Those headquarters and banks rely on the commodity based economy. Without it, Toronto is little more than a service and retail economy.

Maybe in 2035 when the light rail is complete.
