Yankees tickets for the Wild Card game start at $52.

Crazy! That less than cade value for the cheapest Jays playoff tickets.

WTF happened to the market for baseball tickets in New York?

I don't know

Yankee stadium has somehow become notorious for the number of empty seats during games. Weird.

There was an article awhile back.

The two major points is that the Yankees right now are not a team that is marketable. Jeter is gone, and they don't have any good superstars. Who exactly can you cheer for on that team, someone you can look forward to at the ballpark? Nobody. The Yankees are the most boring team heading into the post season.

The second is that the Mets have taken over as the talk of the town. Your casual baseball fan is going to want to watch a talented and much younger team.

Yeah going there to catch the Jays in September, it was so easy to find cheap tickets on Stubhub or Vivid Seats. The stadium was mostly empty as well. Face value, Yankees tickets are way too expensive. There are so many tickets available on the secondary markets at like half the price.

That's actually insane... I thought I saw some non-sold out games there late in the season too.

That last home stand looked empty. As well, that huge series with the Jays in September, you would think Yankee Stadium would be rocking. It was like watching a Leafs game at the ACC.

More than Jays

Most games 160-180 USD and up

Yeah. That must be the hot ticket in town.

Hey guys,

Long time lurker, is there anyone here selling tickets in the 500's? If so, i'd be interested.

Also, are there any other sources to purchase tickets apart from StubHub?

I took a look at actual prices paid for Cubs World Series tickets...sooo many in the thousands.

Makes sense. Chicago is one of in not the best Sport towns in NA and the Cubs have been bad for a while. Also Wrigley field is one of the smaller venues so there isn't nearly as much supply. Cubs season ticket holders and fans actually go to the games while look at Toronto and it seems like half the people who bought tickets are looking to sell them to make a few bucks.

Game 2 at 12:37pm Brutal lol

Game 2 prices are going to drop. Should be able to get 500 levels for under $100/per seat.

Looks like waiting may have panned out. Really appreciate the help @jaysblue, but I'm going to try and hold off for some 500 level seats for 2x the cost. May have to pay a bit more but given I was willing to go $350 for 2 last week I'm feeling a bit better...

I'll have to find some kinda way to stream it I guess.

Get MLBTV (only $3.99) and stream it on your computer or on your phone.
