Jonzo Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Got this today from the Blue Jays ticket team: There has been a real groundswell in the excitement and buzz throughout the city, and across the country, as we continue to prepare for the potential of hosting Postseason games here at Rogers Centre. As a valued 2015 Flex Pack Holder we are pleased to offer you one more opportunity to purchase 2015 Postseason tickets for the Wild Card/ American League Division Series and/or American League Championship Series. Limited seats are available for the World Series. This exclusive opportunity will be available online only on Monday September 21st, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. A few things to note: Tickets will be available for all three potential Postseason series: 1) Wild Card/ American League Division Series, 2) American League Championship Series and 3) World Series. Please note that availability for the World Series is limited to 500 level seats only. There will be a limit of two (2) tickets per each series, based on availability. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis and once allotted tickets are sold out there will be no additional tickets available. A payment plan will not be available for these tickets; you must pay in full. You will receive an additional email on Monday September 21st at 10 am with ordering instructions
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Single tickets are going on pre-sale for flex pack holders? Damn.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 for f*** sakes. If I had known they would be doing this I wouldn't have put down all my money on a strip I presume this means sales are not doing well?
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 All this big talk about no resales but really aren't they encouraging resales by allowing people multiple opportunities to buy tickets?
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 All this big talk about no resales but really aren't they encouraging resales by allowing people multiple opportunities to buy tickets? Yeah exactly, same with allowing season ticket holders to purchase an addition 2 seats. All they've done so far has been opening the door wide open for re-sales.

If I had known they would be doing this I wouldn't have put down all my money on a strip I presume this means sales are not doing well? I can assure you sales are going great. 3,100 season tickets for next year sold just so people could guarantee themselves playoff tickets. This additional sale lets you pick the series you want but you have to pay for it all upfront. It's a way for them to get guaranteed sales early and most likely they are hoping that they can convince buyers to use the money owed to them from unplayed games towards tickets for next year. Much of the inner workings of playoff ticket sales are mandated by MLB. Other teams have had a very similar process in certain respects.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Single tickets are going on pre-sale for flex pack holders? Damn. These aren't for single games, they are still series strips. Its just individual series strips rather than the whole postseason
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 So is this offer to buy a pair for one series? Or a pair per series?
RidethePine Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hey I was still looking for game 1 ALDS tickets in the 500 sections, anyone whose interested in selling please let me know!
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 A pair of tickets for every game in a series of your choice (or every series if you want, though seats will differ each series and for the WS there are only 500 level seats)
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 A pair of tickets for every game in a series of your choice (or every series if you want, though seats will differ each series and for the WS there are only 500 level seats) If everyone has had to buy a strip up to this point shouldn't there be the same # available for each series? Or do they have to block of thousands of tickets for the WS?

They would have more commitments to MLB, players etc. I imagine for the big dance.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Question to you guys selling on stubhub, to get paid, do you select mail a cheque, or paypal? I'm just wondering if there are fees to withdraw the money from Paypal. If there are, then maybe I'd rather get a cheque mailed to me.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I have used cheque in the past...takes a while to get there (2 weeks) but I don't like paypal.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Pretty sure PayPal takes a cut, something like 3%
imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Anybody around Ottawa area needing tickets for Saturday game? Let me know, I have tickets for facevalue 129 section
sportsman Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 If anyone is interested in selling a pre-sale code (already maxed out budget on ticket purchases) please PM me. I'd be very interested in trying to buy in!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Sellers are starting to slowly undercut each other on Stubhub. Nobody is going to buy the hundreds of garbage nosebleeds for 300 f***ing bucks a pop. Jays are popular but they are not the Leafs.

I don't expect any of the 500s tickets to sell for less than 100$ each for the ALDS
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 So what are you guys gonna spend your profits on? I'm gonna spend mine on some hookers.

You realize that most of people prepared to spend huge cash are going to wait until they actually know the exact date, time and opponent to make sure they are actually going to pick a game they can take the day or next day off for, right? If I was ready with my $500, I'd certainly be waiting until Oct 5 or so to choose my game and seats. Keep dreaming ecjf.
