Even at that "good" could be debatable.

 

At the time, Carter was considered one of the best hitters in baseball. But that was because Sabermetrics didnt exist. People valued HR and RBI and Carter had lots of those. 9 straight seasons with 98+ RBI. 396 career HR with 6 seasons over 30... these were the reasons people thought he was a good hitter while he was a player.

No way...correct me if I am wrong but EE has much better .OBP and is a lot more patient then carter ever was. EE has a lot more power. EE > Carter by a lot.

The Jays fans are everywhere here partying hard after the W yesterday. A Bar manager said to me that, other than maybe the BoSox fans, he hasn't seen more away fans at As games and none as pumped. Felt like we won a playoff game or something last night lol

That video is so amazing. I feel sorry for the truck driver, I am sure that it ruined his whole day . If only the city had made the warning sign about 10 times larger (the small one that states the low bridge clearance at 10' 6"). Tying it back into the thread topic, we should feel just as bad for the teams facing the Blue Jays, not.
