At the game last night I was yelling MVP a lot for JD (even though at this point its Trout imo). I was just givin' it to em' a little for my amusement. JD was money yet again last night.

Angels fans in the area didn't seem it like it much and dismiss JD's candidacy. pfft.

It's actually pretty funny that they dismiss JD when he and Trout are very close but were perfectly OK with Cabrera winning when Trout was much better. Angels fans are just a bunch of dumb surfer bros.

Donaldson hasn't been IBB once this year, but 5 times last year, says a lot about the protection behind him.

Pretty much jays aren't intentional walked. No point. The guy behind the guy batting is just as destructive

wut

(I know I'm new and all but this guy is full-on retard)

Me! Half this board has never seen a baseball game. You don't hit your light hitting high average speedy guys behind your power hitters.

Put IronLadle on ignore. He is stubborn and contributes nothing but dated clichés and attacks on people who are more baseball savvy than he is.

Trout still ahead of him in wRC+ But I doubt that will change. Its going to be close. Pretty exciting times.

Trout is down to 170 and Donaldson is up to 161. Someone check at 3:30 AM!

Who cares what his wRC+ is... more dingers, more RBIs, more runs, but most importantly...

Do you think it's because teams can pitch around Trout without fear as opposed to pitchers not afforded that same luxury with JD? I'm referencing his BB rate being the difference in his wrc+

Lmao

It's not hard to imagine that graveman and nolin can be the next Sonny gray and kazmir. Lol I don't know where gray was ranked but Kazmir at one time was the best pitching prospect in baseball

Ummm pujols bats after Trout

Pujols and Bautista are basically the same hitters now. Not much difference. I'm pretty sure pitchers fear pujols more

Lol not even close. Pujols last 3 years combined sub .800 ops. He averaged over 1.000 ops before that.

I bet your rebuttal will involve" but 33 homerz"

Easy peasy...we should just trade for Trout in the off season so the discussion is more even next year. Make it a happen A.A.! (as sad as it seems...I feel like I need a sarcasm smiley here....)

You can just change the "Split" field on the leaderboard to "Live Stats - Full Season"

http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2015&month=33&season1=2015&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0

Bryce Harper just a few hundredths of a win ahead of Donaldson for most in the league. Not that such a small difference should be given meaning, just that it would be fun seeing Donaldson on top.
