JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Being down EE and Martin, I'd prefer Revere leading off here to give him an extra at bat in front of the big 3 and just bump everyone down. no kidding. Gibby is clueless. Navarro in the 4 spot is just facepalm worthy.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Tanaka been throwing less fastballs and splitters this year and more cutters. He has dominated lefty bats this year while struggling a bit with righties with a 3.87 xfip against them. Hopefully the jays are ok against him.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 1. Revere LF 2. Tulowitzki SS 3. Donaldson 3B 4. Bautista RF 5. Colabello DH 6. Navarro C 7. Smoak 1B 8. Pillar CF 9. Goins 2B
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Yankees LHH hitters with the short porce and Marco's light fastball don't bode well for today.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 If Gibby didn't want to put Revere as lead off, Smoak in 4th still makes a lot of sense. He leads the team with RISP.
93 Jays Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Even on the rare occasion that Zaun makes sense, I still really want to feed him a dog s*** sandwhich

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Pillar going to have a big game today i can feel it
93 Jays Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 If Gibby didn't want to put Revere as lead off, Smoak in 4th still makes a lot of sense. He leads the team with RISP. But Smoak SUXXXX! Mods. He's so uselsess! MOds. Why does Gibby have him in there? He should be fired! MODs!!
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I wouldn't even be mad if the Jays lost. We got a banged up lineup against Tanaka but that's ok, I'll treat it like a bonus game. Not a bonus game, we're in a super tight race right now. This game and sweep means the world to the Jays.
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Do I start Tanaka? Don't be a traitor.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 It's time for the Jays to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And they are all out of gum. Go Jays Go

93 Jays Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Tataunka. No fastball anymore. Sit on that change and pound his ass into oblivion

nextyear Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I think the Blue Jays will do well today. Navarro is a good hitter (but slow) and can do some damage. Colabello has had a lot of rest and will be motivated to focus on every pitch and show his worth as a hitter. Pillar needs to get going on offense again. Goins has shown improvement in the batters box, but for him to do well the umpires will have to be fair and call balls as balls. The Blue Jays still have Tulowitzki, Donaldson, and Bautista to hammer the ball and cause some damage. The 7, 8 and 9 hitters have to keep getting on base for them.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Maybe the guy who can barely speak English will run for Prime Minister Like that's going to stop isis!
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 good ab by tuulo after falling behind
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Tulo should of just swung at the ball that flew to the backstop and ran to 1st.
