I disagree. I know you like him as well. But with command, he is definitely ace material. I think once he learns it will be fun to see the competitiveness between him and Stroman. I love Marcus and I know a lot of peeps here do as well so please don't give me a beat down for saying this, but with equal command, I think Sanchez has better stuff. Their curveballs are both very good, but I like Aaron sinker more than I do Marcus's cutter. He has slightly better movement and better velocity. Not saying Aaron is anywhere near Stro's level right now, I'm just hoping the friendship and competitiveness between them means that Marcus helps Aaron with his mechanics a bit

he's always been seen as potential ace pitcher from the day he was drafted. but he's got a ways to go. only 23, could happen. ~15% chance.... very few pitchers become aces

f*** the Yankees and f*** the ump

With the ump taking most of it. Is there some rule that all umps at yankee stadium have to be horribly biased? I assume not, and that they are all just terrible in general. When are the robots taking over behind the plate?

First...from an outsider...Gibson is one of these newer younger umps that will toss you for looking at them cross eyes. Bad enough we have older umps that think they are entitled by seniority. Now we have younger umps that are doing...i don't know what....establishing a reputation for being a hard ass....ridiculous.

As for the umps and a particular dislike for the Jays.....all of MLB is New York Yankee biased....it is so bad and so bare faced. But they apparently don't care. Joe Torre.....Do you really think there is no ulterior motive in the position he holds at MLB? Do you honestly expect a level playing field with Torre and his bunch around?

Anyway good luck tomorrow.

Sanchez's sinker is comparable to Duane Ward's.

Wards was good, but not on the same level. Ward was more of a swing and a miss power pitcher with a heavy sinker. Aaron's pitches look like wiffa(sp?) balls. I have some of his outings on my PVR, and I've shown people his 98mph fastball, drop from the letters coming out of his hand, to below the knees at contact. Ward didn't have the same velocity of the same sink, or delivery for that matter. Duane's acted more like a splitter, started just above the knees and below the knees at the last minute. Both devastating, but movement and amount of movement completely different in my opinion.

True enough man, thanks for the respectful debate!!

This was mentioned before but that pitch Tulo hit out was f***ing nasty, 98 mph at the top of the zone and cutting in on his hands. Gotta love what great bat speed can do.

TheRealMin is the man. Keep it going! Tough one tomorrow. Estrada was beaten by the Yanks last time.

Yankees suck. Umps on their side and they still lose.

Wow, I didn't see the 1st base view of those Donaldson check swings until just now. They were nowhere close to crossing the plate, at all. How the hell does the ump get away with that? He refuses to check in with the first base ump, who inarguably has much better positioning to make those calls, because of this fat ego and then proceeds to toss Gibby at first sight.

The umpire crews know they're above accountability, hence the ever inflating egos and their insistence on making themselves front and centre.

Keep on letting the Umpshow decide winners and losers MLB, you're a joke.

Oh, and.....Let's Go Bluuuue Jayyys!! Sweeeeeep

There is no question that the umpires poor strike calling affected the game. The Blue Jays as a whole have become very patient at the plate, so it throws them off when the umpire can't call balls and strikes reliably.
