intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 thole for colabello, please do it for the love of my sanity I understand the caution most people have with Cola, but seriously? Thole? Thole?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 AA really needs to consider sending Hutch to Buffalo to figure things out. Hopefully picks up a serviceable starter before the end of the month. since the jays don't need a 5th starter with 3 off days I could see him getting optioned to Buffalo to try and figure out the command.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Revere starting to show us what he will add to this team. Pompey >> Revere >> Pillar
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Smoak can't hit...he is a defensive replacement player.... when they have a lead colabello should be out... But in the fifth inning up 6 runs...the pitcher has to overcome an error like that.. ??? what are you basing this on? Collabello's ML stats? He had an excellent 1st half at the plate and he hits LHP pretty well but lets not get carried away. Hid D liabilities outweigh his upside at the dish inning 1-6
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Pompey >> Revere >> Pillar no.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 He had a couple of decent innings, that's far from dealing brother he was on a roll but anyway my first point still stands, we have no replacement for hutch. we have f***ing justin smoak, an elite 1B defender with a decent bat on the bench. how does that make sense?
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Smoak really needs to start 90% of the games at 1st the rest of the way. Agreed, but as someone pointed out, Gibbons is just weirdly loyal to certain players, and I'm really f***ing sick of it. Field your best lineup every game. I don't care about the hurt feelings of these grown men.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 tulo just watching fastballs down the middle..
fireballW Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Pompey >> Revere >> Pillar Revere is nothing to complain about on LF. Pompey is certainly not a lock to outperform him.
Torontojim Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I don't think they will use Pompey unless they absolutely have to. They think he's too inexperienced for the heat of a pennant race.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 What is tulo waiting for tonight,?
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I understand the caution most people have with Cola, but seriously? Thole? Thole? lol probably only because there was already talk of him being brought up.
baubau Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 What is tulo waiting for tonight,? A pitch to hit.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 He's bad too but we have no replacement for Hutch and he WAS dealing up until mushroom f***ed up his second routine play of the day. Just when I was warming up to the idea of Colabello at first... Colabello back to the bench.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 They are turning on Tulo now, this thread is turning into ass
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Boyer looks like he could be a regular on "Beachcombers"
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 A pitch to hit. Except. He has had numerous down the middle.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Tulo = Not broken I like Revere, he looks solid in left.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 LOVE Tulo approach at the plate. His lifetime OBP solid. Patient as hell
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 crowd screaming at every hit ball
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I understand the caution most people have with Cola, but seriously? Thole? Thole? He didn't mean literally replace Cola with Thole. Just a roster move so Thole can catch Dickey and have Smoak play 1B.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Smoak can't hit...he is a defensive replacement player.... when they have a lead colabello should be out... But in the fifth inning up 6 runs...the pitcher has to overcome an error like that.. Smoak is inarguably a more valuable player. Cola had a hot streak, and that's awesome, but he's cooled off, and his D is just painful. fWAR is 0.0 v 0.4 and Cola's had ~70 more PA's than Smoak has.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 crowd screaming at every hit ball to be fair that was a hard hit line drive..
