Ever since my Grandad was very sick in NS and we walked down to the sitting area at the hospital to watch the 1977 World Series on a little crappy TV I have hated the Yankees.

 

He would sit there smoking his pipe (yes in the hospital) coughing and bitching about the way Mickey Rivers spun his bat around.

Going to be interesting to see what Girardi does in the 9th.. do they leave Betances out again and risk not having him available tomorrow? Or do they go to Miller and risk running out of arms if it goes to extras?

It's about as far from redneck/southern as it can be. Heck, it would be better if it was more redneck/southern. I'm from/still live in the U.S., its like the Canadian Anthem or the US anthem. You grow up hearing it all the time (especially at sporting events). It just becomes part of tradition.
