Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 And Gott blows the game. Royals win 3/4, Angels fall out of the playoffs (for now) Seriously, F*** the Orioles... they now have the 2nd wild card. Not all bad news though.. Jays pick up 0.5 game in the 1st wild card (3.5 up now) O's have a bleak schedule after tomorrow (when Sonny pitches). Royals for 7, Nats 3, Mets 2. They do, however, have 6 remaining games vs the Red Sox.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Trout saves the game. Donaldson is great but Trout should be mvp every year

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 The AL 2nd Wild Card is unbelievably tight right now. 5 teams fighting it out for a trip to Toronto or New York for the wild card game (if the standings hold.) Baltimore, LA, Texas, Minnesota and Tampa are within 2.5 of each other. Excluding the White Sox and Tigers, as they are well below .500 and won't make the postseason unless Baltimore slides (wouldn't be a surprise with their nasty upcoming sked). Texas will need their pitching to step up if they have any shot.. their pitching is pretty crappy outside of Gallardo. And Hamels hasn't adjusted to the AL yet. Ditto for Minnesota. LA and Tampa really need to hit.. they've got pitching, but their offense sucks.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 How many days have the As been playing the Orioles in a row?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Sabathia scratched for Yankees--Bryan Mitchell starting in place. Sabathia will pitch tomorrow instead.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 We need to go 5-3 on this trip at a minimum. 6-2 would be ideal, but we're on the road after all.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Very nice!! You were banned?
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 How many days have the As been playing the Orioles in a row? Four game series. Last one of the series.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 No relation to any other Jonn here, just happen to have the same name. Hey King bored huh
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 For those who don't have mlb.tv, the two games (outside of Oak/Bal) we should all be paying attention to are on SN tonight. Go Twins! Go Chi Sox!

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Of course the umps screwing the twins already. Excellent
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Not sure the Twins are inclined to do us any favours anyway.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 hrmm which game to put on the big screen??? Yanks??? Yup!
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Twins won't do us any favours. Game is all but over.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 That short porch in left field is terrible.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 With the teams the Yanks will face in the short term (besides the Stros), their lead over us is basically two games. They have three games in hand and I don't see them losing vs the Twins/Indians at home.
