BlueJays20xx Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Hi all, Haven't posted in here for a long time. I'll be going to my first Jays game and with the bobblehead giveaway, figures there will be a ton of people. I'm taking the GO train down and wondering what time should I get down there and which gate am I suppose to go to? Thanks in advance and Let's Go Jays!
LTR Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 You should have started lining up yesterday, they're all gone now.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 This game is going to be a sell out BTW, and considering it's a holiday, some people may come earlier. If you get in by 11:00 you are 100% guaranteed to get one.
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 You chose a great first game to attend with David Price starting and (as close as we can get to) "pennant race" atmosphere in early August haha. Where are your seats? Does it not say the Gate on your tickets or printout? yeah, Price + Martin bobblehead + holiday (for some) = sellout If it's your first game, why not get there slightly before the gates open at 11:00 and watch some BP? There will be lines forming in front of the gates before 11:00 am.
BlueJays20xx Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Author Posted August 2, 2015 I already bought tickets a month ago. I'm around the Jays dugout, 2nd row. Which gate am I suppose to go in through? not familiar with the entrances. I am planning to get there before 11

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 They should have a Navarro bobble belly day.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 9:30 AM and you'll have a solid enough shot at getting one. Bring a book.
pat_borders Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 9:30 AM and you'll have a solid enough shot at getting one. Bring a book. My condo looks directly at gate 14, ppl line up early but if you show up at 10:55, just before the gates open you'll be fine, 11:15 your f'd. I've never not got one and have never been in line earlier than 10:50 am. I use gate 12 and avoid the lower bowl gates and the big OF Gates like gate 14, line-up runs down blue jay way to navy wharf. Your guaranteed one if you go through Gate 13 (handicap gate), so let your mind get creative if your desperate. If you go at 9:30 am you should use gate 13, cause that's ___!

Is gate 12 the one where you enter using the fan pass? If so yeah it's a great gate to go in. I'd show up a bit earlier though. 10:30 should get you a bobble head but if you really want to guarantee yourself one, earlier. I dunno, I'd show up at like 9:30 considering it's a Russell Martin bobblehead. I have a feeling people are gonna go nuts, better safe than sorry.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 What's the appeal of bobbleheads? I wouldn't line up 30 minutes for one.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 What's the appeal of bobbleheads? I wouldn't line up 30 minutes for one. It's a Russell Martin, Certified Canadian bobblehead.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 In all seriousness, 11 am. If you get there at noon you'll be out of luck.

pat_borders Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 All this for a bobblehead? and Prices debut, cheapest stub hub tix is $51.95, hopping to grab a last minute deal, just before game time

Same ones going for over $200 on stubhub Yea a group of us had to pay 40 bucks for row 9 500 level seats. If you want to go, you're pretty much just going to pay anything that is within reason
