The Jays have scored 2 or less runs in 26 of 109 games (and 41 of 109 games with 3 or less runs scored). There is no reason to think that you can shut down these bats for more than the occasional game.

They're just projecting their shortcomings on to our lineup. Easy to shutdown a lineup that has 75% of it's offense coming from 3 guys. They've never had a team as deep 1 - 9 as the Jays and can only draw from their anecdotal experiences.

Nah it's not. Pitchers get yanked quicker (more appropriately) leading to more effective (albeit entirely accidentally) pitcher usage. No one goes through the order more than twice if they're not on top of their game.
