Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 By Physicals I mean an actual exam. Exams are not compulsory. The exchanging of medical information is expected, though. Think about it. Tulo was lifted in the 9th and then an hour later he gets traded? Not enough time to do a physical. If they don't like what they see, they can nix it. As simple as that
nonamejays Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I really liked Reyes. So what if he wasn't quite as good as he was 6 or 7 years ago. Few people are. He was the best short stop since Fernandez. The Jays won this trade in my opinion, but that doesn't negate that Reyes was a really good player for us for the past 3 years.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I don't understand the casual dismissal of Castro. He still a young guy who throws extremely hard. If he was still dominating A+ as a starter like he should be, we would all be excited about him. Aggressive promotions shouldn't diminish him as a prospect. I'll miss him more than Hoffman to be honest. Jays used him as a reliever and he struggled. Probably lost a lot of trade value in the process

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 and now for everyone to lower their standards on hoffman lol
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Jays used him as a reliever and he struggled. Probably lost a lot of trade value in the process I'm not saying you're wrong but that doesn't really make sense to me. I mean I can see casuals feeling that way but a pretty significant part of this board thought taking him off his development plan was stupid in the first place and yet some of those same people want to devalue him as a prospect because of it.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Ed hitting about .236 this year. I'm not sure how much value he has. His power numbers aren't bad... but nothing to write home about. Not sure if serious?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Whats his ETA into Toronto???? He was pulled during the game last night, and was only in Chicago, so I would think today
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 At this point, the Jays should just try to get Braun.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Not a bad trade. But to play the wet blanket along with queen BTS and creepy old man Hurl, let's look at ways it can go wrong: Tulo's injury history catches up to him and he's on the DL or plays like crap. He's also signed thru 2020 with a no trade clause. So he could very well become an albatross. Hoffman could discover how to strike guys out, Castro is properly handled in his development and becomes an impact arm. So this is what wet blanketing feels like, kinda fun.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The hand problems castro is having is most likely a serious problem down the road.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Trading EE right now makes sense for us, but what team moves SP for him at the moment? Unless it's a 3 team type of deal I don't expect him moved until the winter. Cardinals?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Dammit though, Doubront gets another start
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 All of sudden I don't like how Hoffman wasn't striking people out. I mean strikeouts on a stat page just look so sexy. Instead of searching for porn I just pull up Betances numbers and it works beautifully. We gotta enjoy Betances while his arm is still healthy, sexy ass numbers
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Dammit though, Doubront gets another start Even with the offday
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Dammit though, Doubront gets another start I'm not sure if I care all that much, I just wish that if they're going to get an arm, they get one in the next two days, prior to the start of the Royals series.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This is about the point in the Dickey deal that we learned that the last piece was Syndergaard. *******! Mods, lol.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Even with the offday Apparently He's listed for today
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Robert Murray @RobertMurrayBBE 3m3 minutes ago Source: #Rockies call up Cris Adames. So that is Reyes' replacement.

I suppose It's the Phillies tonight. We can beat them 12-7 if we have to. LOL Vs Royals we need all the help we can get
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 So who is off the bullpen? Tapera or Loup. Loup probably stays
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We don't face Hamels He's scheduled to pitch vs Atlanta on Thursday
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Anyone has a link to the Orioles Hangout freak out thread?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Tulo and Bautista for Urias, Seager, Lee and Puig
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 LTBF is such a ridiculous homer. I can't wait for him to start s***ing on Hoffman. He's already changing his tune..."wouldn't trade Hoffman, save for Trout" now he wanted to move him for a SP.
