I remember last season in a game against Boston, Stroman had a no hitter going into I think the 7th inning and I was so relieved he gave up a hit because lord knows how high his pitch count would have gone if he didn't.

 

Poor Marco Estrada wasn't given the same luck. He threw 250 pitches in two starts unnecessarily in an attempt to accomplish something that ultimately would have been meaningless even if he achieved it. Now we have to suffer through the "post 130 pitches" meltdown.
